The room was exactly as the photos shown, all very clean, the bed was really comfortable! There is a restaurant across the road that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very good prices and portions. The place in itself is very well located. The staff is amazing, all extremely helpful!

Amazing place in a beautiful setting with super helpful staff who clearly take pride in this wonderful experience. Pools are lovely and relaxing with lots of different areas of bubbles / jets / saunas/ steam room etc. rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Food is amazing with lots of choices ( we are vegetarian) and the even the breakfast coffee tastes lovely! ( unusual!)

The staff facility care food amenities were all exceptional It's such a pleasure to rate this extraordinary place where we stayed for 3 nights . The room itself was immaculate and super comfortable. The facilities is in great standard, very well equipped and pleasant I had a back injury and hence was stranded in the room , the owner Maria-Manuel has personally taken me to the hospital and took great care of me during the process including  helping me get medications, and the staff bringing food to the room and taking care of all our needs in a very gentle kind and friendly manner. Later when we looked for an easily  accessible shower the owner upgraded us to a suite that has an accessible shower. I couldn't  even dream of such a caring and compassionate service🏆 The staff was super accommodating and friendly and the rest of the amenities were gorgeous In spite of our circumstances we genuinely enjoyed this hotel's extraordinary hospitality and warmth. 🥂 Thank you !

    Loriga is a gorgeous town, not unlike many in the area of the Serra da Estrela. What sets it apart is a great river beach (praia fluvial); its closeness to the Parque da Serra da Estrela, an easy 20-minute drive; and it's less busy than other more popular towns. Driving through Loriga's streets can be a daunting experience if you are not used to very narrow streets and steep slopes. If you plan on staying try to find lodging close to the main road.

Nestled in a stunning valley, it's often referred to as the "Portuguese Switzerland" because of its breathtaking mountain views and charming atmosphere. The village has so much to offer—crystal-clear natural pools, perfect for a refreshing swim in the summer, and scenic hiking trails that showcase the beauty of the region year-round. Walking through Loriga's narrow streets, you can feel its rich history and unique character. The traditional stone houses and friendly locals make it feel like stepping back in time. Plus, the local food is incredible—don’t miss out on trying the regional cheeses and sausages! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, Loriga is a must-visit.
