lovely attention to detail with everything you could need from the kitchen facilities and toiletries in the bathroom. the property is very well designed and feels comfortable and private. it’s lovely to wake up in the morning and see the lovely garden. the hosts were so lovely and did a great job at making sure we had everything we need.

A fantastic short break. For the price, you would struggle to find anything better in terms of a hotel/spa experience. Very easy to get to from Porto, what really makes the place special is the staff, who made our whole experience as welcoming and comfortable as it could possibly be

It does look like (and is probably meant as) a private sex place with hourly rates and such (you don't even see any personnel and there are no common areas), but it is in fact a pretty good hotel for a totally legitimate open-minded couple as ourselves as well (or for a single traveler, for that matter), and having a private garage with direct access to your room is very convenient when you travel by car. It's clean and comfortable, the interior does not look or feel cheap, and all the details, the lighting, the mirrors, the bubble massage bathtub and the music do help create a romantic and sexy atmosphere. We totally enjoyed the stay and the sexy vibe. The breakfast was also very good.

Everything was perfect. The facilities and the room were very good and had everything we needed, there was nice playground for children, a big pool with lovely views, the estate massive area with quiet surroundings and gardens with a lot of different tree species.

Casa do Engenho was a big surprise. We didn't expect such a lovely experience. Maria, the owner, the Host and hospitality genius of this place, will make you comfortable from the first minute. You feel from the very first moment that you are at home. The ambiance is cozy and the rooms are clean. Plenty of space to rest and a fantastic natural ambience. Maria had suggestions for dinner and because we didn't have the opportunity to drive, she brought us to the restaurant... A good one! Breakfast was amazing and the fireplace was on. Maria you are an angel. Thank you

This is an absolutely magical house perched on a hill in the middle of a eucalyptus valley—complete seclusion, everything is just perfect. The only minor flaw is that the refrigerator door opens the wrong way, but that's truly the only downside, and it doesn't affect the ideal atmosphere for relaxation at all. We definitely plan to return.
