The manager/owner was super. We were cycling and called him for a pickup about 10km away, which he actioned without hesitation. He also made a great dinner reservation for us. Takes great care of his guests!

A good location for a stress-free stay in Felgar, Casa de Santa Cruz is a guest house surrounded by views of the pool.

We came as a group of six, the house has been carefully restored and decorated to provide a unique retro-chique environment. The wood fireplace is a definitive plus. The house as whole and rooms feel very confortable. The breakfast had everything that you expect from a 5 star hotel. Whatever was not there you just ask for. Staff was also very helpful and kind. The beauty of the house and nature surrounding it deserve a 2 day stay. The Swimming pool, bikes and local food will make us come again.

In short, everything. Our host (a delightful lady) was waiting at the gate to greet us. Our room had a balcony overlooking the valley and the village below - perfect to watch the setting sun. Our room was very comfortable, with a marble tiled en-suite. Breakfast (ham, cheese, croissants, tea, coffee, juice etc) is served in a large room and there is a fridge for guests' use. The salt water swimming pool is next to the house and great when the temperature is over 30C. For us, the surrounding area is fantastic - very little traffic and even fewer people. The nearest restaurants are in Mogadouro, a pleasant town,10km away. There are lots of local walks, with leaflets available describing them.
