    We have been to a number of places in the Algarve and love them all but Ferragudo and Casa Rio Vista trumps the lot. Beautiful apartment, warm welcome from our host Marco and friendly people in some excellent restaurants. Not to forget beautiful beaches. What more could we ask for? Hope to return again soon.     Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!

    Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town.

    Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town. Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded. The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both. The beach is wide, clean and interesting to watch the fishing boats coming and going.

    Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

    Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists. Views accross the bay are beautiful. There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village. There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield. There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!

    Lovely summer cottage in the heart of Ferragudo.Near beautiful beaches of Ferragudo and Portimao. Good wifi, easy communication with owner.Quality bedding. Nice touche - welcome rose wine and fruits. It would be recomnended in winter time like Janury- Februry to use woodburner in rhe lounge to diminish moisture in the house. Aircon just add condensate in the house. A modern coffee machine would be perfect quality addition to well equipt kitchen.

    A great hotel with friendly staff. Like having a Villa within a hotel setting. The amenities were very good and the pool always had a nice atmosphere. The whole property had a peacefulness about it. It was close to Ferragudo where there are some lovely restaurants. I’d recommend a car so you can get around

    Great touristic village for relaxing located in the beautiful spot of Ferragudo, at less than 10 minutes by car from Portimão and related "praias". Managed well, optimal service, beautiful location, and very quiet. Super relaxing. We enjoyed very much the swimming pool and appreciated the view.
