This is a truly beautiful hotel which is an old stone dwelling which has been renovated and modernised but without losing its historical character. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, large, clean and comfortable; there is also space to park. Our room had a door that opened directly on the garden where there are chairs and tables where clients can relax. Its historical worth is augmented by the fact that it is partly a museum to the past which means it is not only there to make money from its clients. Diana, who works at the reception, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied and the rooms very quiet and the hotel is within easy driving distance of Bragança (a city well worth spending a few days in). All in all this was a very positive and enjoyable experience.

This is a lovely, cosy apartment, stylish, very bright and shiny clean with a fabulous sun terrace which would be great to use in the summer and glimpses of the castle tower which is a short walk away. The kitchen was great for us - we use a kettle, a toaster, a sharp knife, mugs and a chopping board and they provided all of these, It turned cold when we were there so the reverse cycle air conditioner/heater with the help of the radiator did the trick and we were able to cook a hot meal and have a great hot shower. There was also a heater in the bathroom as well as a fab mirror and snow white towels and plenty of hot water.. Also available was a washing machine which we didn't use. The hosts were very welcoming and communicated with us enthusiastically. Parking was easy not right outside the apartment but further along and there is a large unsurfaced car park a minute away which was almost empty when we were there. This was a big plus for us,
