The two sisters running the hotel were very welcoming, going out of their way to look after us. It was out of season and I think we were the only guests. Nevertheless they opened up the games/TV room in the annex for us and served us a wonderful 3 course dinner with wine and coffee for a very reasonable price (also providing vegetarian options for one of our party). The hotel is beautifully positioned by the river, in the centre of the village, with hot springs bubbling up in the public gardens opposite.

The hotel is imponent, very beautiful and luxirious arquitecture. The balanced mixture of old elements, like wooden floor, enourmously high ceilings and arched glass doors, metallic pieces, with contemporary design. The old elements are very well taken care of. The location is great. Wonderful breakfast with great coffee. Extremely attentive and nice personnel at the restaurant. Very nice old school hospitality style.

We stayed for four nights. The staff are so friendly and went over and above to meet our needs during our stay. The Hostel was so clean and has beautiful outdoor terrace adjacent to the river which you can kayak on. The breakfast was adequate, with staff allowing us some extra time to eat one of the days we slept in. Will be back again for sure!

The breakfast was wonderful, freshly cooked croissants and bread rolls with fresh cheese and ham, fresh coffee and lots of fresh orange juice. The property is situated in Sao Pedro town centre but was still very quiet so no street noises. Only minutes away from the property is the theatre, beautiful old churches, the bus and coach stop and only a ten minute walk to ecopista (beautiful walk and bike run through the mountains).
