I arrived and was warmly welcomed by Luis. He put so much love in the house. You can see it in all the little details. For example some homemade jams for breakfast. It was very clean as well. The region around is very rural and calm but he was recommending me some places to visit which I did and found beautiful.

A great place as a "base" for exploring the area - brilliant for anyone into hiking and nature! And staying here supports the work of Rewilding Portugal. I would say the place is halfway between a hostel and a hotel. The bed was very comfortable and there was heating available, which was needed as it was unusually cold at the time during my stay. The room was attractively furnished and clean. The communal areas also felt comfortable and well thought-out.
