We spent the best vacation on Sao Miguel and if you are looking for a beautiful and at the same time quiet place Casa da Boa Vista is the best recommendation. This is a unique place with epic views of the ocean and mountains and the beautiful surroundings of the small and quiet village of Algarvia—the perfect place to chill out and explore the eastern part of the island. Thanks to the very nice hosts Adeline and Stéphane, who were very warm and nice, we felt spoiled, they took care not only of the comfort of our relaxation but also offered advice and recommendations on places worth seeing on the island, which they loved at first sight. Every day they served us delicious breakfasts prepared with fresh and local products, which on sunny mornings we ate in the fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings. Additionally, we experienced several exceptional multi-course dinners prepared with passion and finesse by Stéphane, whose dishes deserve Michelin-star restaurants. Thanks to these exceptional circumstances, their attentive care and the culinary delights experienced at a reasonable price, we returned to everyday life with regret, but we will return to this place with pleasure.

It’s really super charming place to stay. It’s a house with a soul, with nice interior and amazing backyard. There were so many vintage items in the house, like a small museum to stay in :) It has all the equipment needed to cook and grill. And it was nice to stay outside and enjoy the view to the ocean. The island is small and this place is easy to reach. So leave your doubts that is far from Ponta Delgada ;)

    We were the only tourists in the village. It is far from big towns, the village itself is picturesque and is surrounded by stunning nature, located between foresty mountains and wild ocean. Very peaceful, great views, nice hiking trails. Better to have a car here.
