Gorgeous Countryhouse and landscape, close to one of the most beautiful historic villages of Alentejo (Monsaraz), super clean hotel, lovely staff, great breakfast. This property is in a league of its own, and if I could give it a higher rating than 10, I would. The property is located in the night sky reserve of Portugal, which is an area with minimal light pollution. We were very sad that we only reserved one night here, and are planning to come back here during our next visit in Portugal. If you get a change to stay here please do! The property is pretty big, but beautiful and unique. The rooms are amazing and the service is next level! The rooms are big and clean, and the amenities are plentiful. The employees are wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful! Additionally the property has some of the oldest olive trees, a beautiful infinity pool and a relax area where you can play on a billiard table or just relax. During the night you can lay on a sun bed and watch the stars. They also serve some food. During our stay the main restaurant was not open, but they are planning on opening it again. Breakfast was also great, and there was plenty of choice.

Monsaraz is one of our favorite places and the chance to stay within the walls is priceless! Carlos looked after us very well and the breakfast was one of the best we had. We loved the rooftop pool and patio area. We stayed in a street facing room and it was quiet at night (mainly pedestrians) and the steet view very nice.
