The swimming pool the children loved it and the other activities that was available for them to do we also loved the little town everyone is very helpful and friendly on our last day we found a small beach that gets extremely busy with all the families. It was funny to find out that the time on our phone kept changing because we were not too far from Spain. Break fast is basic but with the heat is just what you need.

Laura, in particular, has a magnetic presence and an incredible gift for hosting — you feel as though you’ve known her for years. There’s a deep joy in how they share their local heritage with guests. And the view — THE VIEW! What a gift to wake up surrounded by the gentle embrace of nature’s hills. The hotel was very clean, the room pleasant but small, very quiet and peaceful excellent for chilling out. Not a lot to see, restricted in restaurants, trip to Spain via the small ferry interesting, but again very little to see. Surrounding area worth a visit

The hotel is set in a quiet location and has great views...

The hotel is set in a quiet location and has great views across the river (Spain is on the other side). The town of Alcoutim has good restaurants within walking distance ( 10 to 15 minutes). The hotel seems to attract Portuguese families with young children so the pool was always busy and noisy. The town has a small ferry boat to take you to the other side or take you on trips up and down the river (30 minutes or 1 hour for 7.50 euros or 15 euros respectively). There is also a river beach nearby but we did not use it. There are canoes, kayaks and jet-skis to hire very close to the hotel. The hotel room does not provide tea/coffee-making facilities. When we asked for a kettle they said they only had one which they needed for breakfast.

Alcoutim is a place good for rest and have some activities. Near to Algarve beaches and near to Spain is a nice place to stay, but Managers should pay more atention and be able to do more to increase the profits.

A nice little village in the inner part of Algarve, close to...

A nice little village in the inner part of Algarve, close to the Spanish border. There isn't much to do there, but if you are looking for a place to get some rest away from everything, you will find it in Alcoutim. It gets HOT on Summer days, locals said it also gets COLD in Winter. There are some monuments worth a visit, there are a handful of restaurants, there are some river activities. There is only a very small groceries shop, there are no supermarkets.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before and find it so relaxing and quiet, the pool area is an oasis with grounds down to the river. The staff are friendly and helpful. A good breakfast in the dining room also meals in the evenings.. plenty of parking.. I recomend you stay rooms are clean with good A C prices are from €55-€75 how good is that. Don't miss out..

The location on the banks of the River Guadiana is lovely and peaceful and only a short walk into Alcoutim. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed. The breakfast and restaurant meals were good. We had only booked one night but liked it so much stayed another three!

Everything was good. The room was good and quiet. Diner as wel as the breakfast where excellent. The servant with diner was the same as we had last year. We liked that man. It's important that you have a constant good service. So you can get confidence in the hotel and its personal.

I hiked the Via Algarviana, they where at the same time 2 other hikers and even I booked a bed in the room, I got whole room for me, everyone does. So, it was amazing from hotel, when ist possible to do upgrade, they are do it. Really nice breakfast.

I adore everything in this small lovely village: the people, the food, all the surroundings! Excellent if you want get away from a busy city. 😍 And this hotel is amazing for it. The staff is very friendly. It's very clean and it smells like a Spa🥰
