Our Upon Villa Hotel was beautiful! My sister and I enjoyed 10 days there. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The manager of the hotel was friendly, competent person and the working atmosphere in the hotel is really fantastic. Positive energy, peace and smiles. Our room was super clean, beautifully furnished with the most confortable beds I have ever had in a hotel! The bathroom was beautiful & white clean towels+towels for the pool time. The personnel who maintained the rooms were kind and we could always ask for more towels and whatever else we needed. Our room was on the 1st floor with a lovely view of the river Tejo which reminded us of the sea. We had a wonderful rest and slept great, it was quiet outside at night. The pool on the roof terrace of the hotel is great, nice terrace and bar where you can enjoy magical sunsets. We loved breakfast, which was versatile and more like a brunch. We are vegan and had a great selection of fresh fruits (papaya, pineapple, melon, grapes...), vegetables, as well as various cereals, fresh juices, teas, coffee and more. The breakfast personnel was so friendly and professional, we especially liked Faisal Ali and Amanda. :) By the way, Alcochete is a charming old little town with interesting history, very traditional with soul. You can find nice places to drink or eat, as well as bars on the beach. Public transport: We were only half an hour away from Lisbon by bus or car. Just around the corner from our hotel are bus stations to Lisbon and Setubal, as well as other places nearby. Buses are cheap, clean and uncomplicated choice. Taxi is also not expensive, we often took taxi especially in Lisbon to visit interesting parts of the city. You have to visit Cascais and Setubal, the beaches are magical! I am rarely this impressed with a hotel.. Great welcome, very kind staff, beautifully built resort, with a very interesting apartment system. One of the best massage I have ever had. Nice and very clean indoor&outdoor pool. Excellent breakfast. The calm&serenity of the place with the mild wind of the atlantic.. I cannot say enough. We were very tired when we arrived and left fully recharged at the end of our 3 night stay. I highly recommend this resort. I was told it is not this calm during the school holidays though:))

It was a delight! All the staff we met were immensely friendly, from the german speaking lady at the reception to wonderful Mr. Mirino Correia, creating an unforgettable breakfast experience in the sun at the pool. We would have loved to stay longer!

A small village atmosphere with great local restaurants serving fresh fish, only 40 minutes from Lisbon. New fusion restaurants are springing up which adds to variety. Various beach bars to have a drink and soak the sun by sandy beach

Alcochete is a very quiet place, every points of interest...

Alcochete is a very quiet place, every points of interest are at walking distance. You would find Bank, gardens, restaurants and coffee shops every where and friendly staff always ready to attend your queries and guide you the best possible. Recommended place to spend quiet times and enjoy good Portuguese cuisine.

I loved Alcochete.

I loved Alcochete. Not by any means touristy - so you get to experience authentic Portuguese and Lisboeta experience. Laid back, safe, elegant with stunning views and good choice of bars and restaurants

An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many...

An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. With that said, the bartenders at Pelourinho make a great Manhattan!

Location was FABULOUS - right in the centre of beautiful Alcochete & so close to the superb estuary. So easy to get to the many excellent local restaurants. Our host was most helpful & we really appreciated being met in person & given advice about parking which can be tricky.

We have stayed at this hotel three times and love it. It is our of Lisbon and very quiet. The beds are amazing and the food excellent with a great breakfast. You can take a nice walk along the boardwalk and beach (but not good for swimming).

The flat is in the centre of Alcochete, easy to find on foot. It has several handy items, washing machine, hairdryer, kettle and a large fridge-freezer. The bed has a gigantic 180cm mattress.
