We loved this fascinating historic building, which had features in abundance, and a mix of historic antiquities and modern comfortable accommodation. Our hostess, Sylvia was gracious, generous, and full of knowledge about the building and the area. She and her husband were eager to please us. We loved the breakfast too!!! We recommend this as an ideal place to stay, the longer the better. Come on Australians, and others, expand your horizons! And live it up in this magnificent place.

Perfect newly restored hotel. Impossible to fault room, hotel or staff. Excellent breakfast. Also, the normal parking problems of Castello de Vide as there is a car park behind the hotel which always had spaces.

I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Amarela in Castelo de Vide! Everything was just perfect – from the charming decor that beautifully brings the past to life, to the cozy and comfortable room with a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed – their warmth made me feel right at home. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, full of delicious local products that gave me a real taste of the region. I truly loved every moment and would wholeheartedly recommend Casa Amarela to anyone visiting the area. I definitely hope to return one day!

Joa's was very helpful, friendly and answered any of my questions efficiently. The room was clean, nicely furnished, own bathroom and fitted with a good ceiling fan. He left extras to use which i enjoyed, has Fridge, jug , tea and coffee and other complimentary items. Nice touch. It made my stay enjoyable

    Beautiful quiet setting , short walk to a lovely village with musical sheep (!!) and a fantastic local restaurant- O Hilario - that produced fabulous food with friendly informal service and let us eat outside with our dog . A last minute booking for the hotel which made it all the more special when it all worked out so well !
