The room was fantastic, right next to the ocean on the first floor with a beautiful and super clean room, comfy bed, friendly staffs, 2 mins walk to the whale shark, shower and toilet available for guests to use after/before check out, massage in room available... Making reservations from the USA for a resort half way around the world is a scary experience but I went off the booking score. It turned out that was a good decision as this was a small but lovely place to stay. The staff is very friendly and we did both scuba diving and snorkeling of the Whale Sharks which is a quick 15 minute drive. Their staff drove us around to restaurants and the various dives for no charge. One of the other tenants was making their first dives noted that at another resort they felt pressured and pushed by the diving instructor versus this staff took their time and made sure they felt comfortable under water. A great place to visit whether you're a seasoned diver or first attempt. Cheers!

Design of swimming pool, dining area, room and balcony, food quality and attention given by staff were wonderful. Maintenance of the two adjacent rooms including the air conditioners and bathrooms were different but good enough for our 3 nights’ stay. I appreciate how the new balcony lock design ensured higher security.

We had a superb time in Melbas. The apartment was super clean and cozy and the owner Eduardo with his family and Mr. Torres who had guided us over there are the most kindness people we have ever met. It was really beautiful time we spent there and I feel really sorry for ourselves we haven't had more time to stay in this little paradise. We totally recommend this place to all the travelers coming to Cebu. Oh, just not to forget, it's worth mentioning, that the cuisine is absolutely amazing here.

I would not recommend this resort to anyone, there is...

I would not recommend this resort to anyone, there is absolutely nothing compare to the hotel rate. If you want to go for Oslob or Kawasan falls, better stay in OSLOB or near Kawasaki falls. There is absolutely nothing in that property either beach or pool or even food. Rooms are not very clean too. Not value for money.

Everything the staff were extremely helpful, making the stay that little bit more special. The views are incredible and the sandbar is perfect for taking pictures of the sunset. There are many activities that are very reasonably priced, there are a number of free activities as well, they are all worth doing. The snorkeling and diving were both fantastic. The food was very well priced delicious and very good portion sizes with so many options. If you are looking for an amazing island get away look no further.

The stay was amazing. If anyone visits Cebu for a vacation they must visit Sumilon island. There are so many beautiful fishes and forest of corals and water is so clear. I have never seen such a beautiful underwater environment before. Staffs are extremely kind and thoughtful. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. There were Philippine themed dinner buffet and Japanese themed dinner buffet. I liked both but Philippine one was better.
