Sometimes, you arrive in a hotel with low expectations. We just needed a room near the airport after making the boat trip from borocay to caticlan and we had an early flight the following morning. Plato de ciudad was the perfect place. Vergil and staff were very welcoming and helpful to my wife who had an injured foot. Their restaurant had a superb menu. We only had one night there but....very glad we chose this hotel.

You have a chance to try Italian Menu made by Luigi & his cooks in their restaurant. The hotel is situated 2 min walk to kitesurf Bulabog Beach & 10 min walk from White Beach (over 4km long, awesome beach). A couple steps to all restaurants & shops. Caticlan is a small community mostly used for by travelers...

Caticlan is a small community mostly used for by travelers to ferry between the mainland and Boracay. If you so happen to stay longer then there are tours into the hills. At the Port there is a bank, 7/11, pharmacy and many other stores. Also a high volume of security personnel. Very safe place. To get around you can walk like I did or take a trike for virtually no cost. (There is a cost obviously).

I love that nanay and tatay of the hotel were very hospitable, even providing us help in cooking our late night food. There is free cold and hot water, there is a small eatery at the ground floor where we helped ourselves with a hefty breakfast at a very affordable price. Nanay also helped us find 2 tricycles in the morning going to the port at half the price they usually charge in the ports.

The staff were exceptional! Their smiles & service were amazing. Hotel wasn’t far from the airport and was at the port so woke to amazing sea views. The Rooftop restaurant is an added bonus with again amazing staff and service. Before heading out to Boracay we explored the town. Loved it

The staff, cabana king room, and facilities (pool and bar) were incredible. The food coming out of the kitchen was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend UNWND! We stayed for 1 night before flying out of Caticlan Airport. It was so enjoyable that we could’ve stayed longer.
