You absolutely get what you pay for. Just bring enough cash with you as the place is remote and far away from the trouble. It‘s a very peaceful place. If you‘re up for time with yourself I highly recommend this place! It gets dark very early and the rooms are working with solar energy. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome during our time there.

Unbeatable location right on one of most beautiful beaches on the island, breath-taking sunsets every night! Not only is this one of the only sit-down restaurants in this area but the food is delicious. We looked forward to our meals everyday as well as the company of such welcoming hosts. The guys were super helpful and proactive with anything we needed, they picked us up at our previous accommodation, arranged transport to the next place, gave us local tips, introduced us to their friends and generally took care of us, we really felt like part of their home. The room had AC that worked great, swimming pool is right next to it and the surrounding nature is beautiful. We will be coming back for sure, thanks guys!

The room was exactly as we expected—it was surrounded by nature and looked just like the pictures. It was small, but we liked it. The owners were very nice and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They were always nearby and helped with any questions we had. They even organized the van to Port Barton for us and waited with us until it arrived. We can absolutely recommend this place. There is also a very nice and local beach nearby.

Great resort with everything you need. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great time! Ramaon and his staff are great and are all very friendly and helpful. Rona who cooked for us the entire time makes the best Filipino food we have had! The owner Ramaon is great and extremely helpful! He even took us to a full moon party on the beach and then spent the whole night drinking with us back at the resort. He even arranged onward travel to Port Barton and dropped us off at the bus station. The pool is big and the grounds are lovely and scenic. The resort is in the mountainous area of Bacungan and they even arranged a pick up from our other hotel in Puerto princessa. James and Laura who also help out at the resort even arranged for us to get a motorbike and dropped it off at the resort for us. As the resort is quite remote a motorbike for 1 day or so would be required to visit Nagtabon beach and the other beaches in the area. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and did us fine for the 4 nights. If we were to return to Palawan we would 100% return to banlaw!!

This place is hidden gem. Away from the noise of Puerto Princessa, lies this beautiful small hotel. Staff is very kind and helpful. Restaurant creates delicious and tasteful meals from sunrise till sunset. Talking about sunset, this hotel has the best view on the entire island. It was so good that I proposed to my girlfriend purely because the views and setting ;)

It's amazing how nice the hotel is and how friendly the staff is. Mels, the receptionist, was so helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place. It is definitely worth the money. We will return.
