It's quiet and the room is clean, with shelves available for storage. Breakfast is served as early as 4:30 AM, which allowed us to catch the earliest trip to Machu Picchu. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent, right next to the train station. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day. Free tea, coffee and water were available in the kitchen all day, which was a nice touch. There are many restaurants and shops close by. It is only a short 6-minute walk to the bus station for Machu Picchu. Noise from the train is part of the package for many hotels in the area, and it did not bother us. We had a very pleasant stay.

Kind and helpful staff. Explained to be how to buy my Machu Picchu ticket and the best times to go. Woke up a 5:30am with me to let me out and show me where the line was. Breakfast included was filling for me, including cheese, fruits, breads, sweets, etc. Held my bag after checkout and I could relax on the main floor while waiting for my train. Comfortable bed. Hot shower and towel provided. Clean sheets. Nice little guesthouse. Cost was accurate for the room provided. Wifi strong enough for a Zoom call, which was great for me because I had work.

Stephanie on reception was very friendly and arranged some coca tea for us on arrival. The view of the river is spectacular pleasant to sleep to. All facilities and the room seem to be brand-new and exceptionally well placed. We were allowed to be our bags secured in a safe spot reception while we visited Machu Picchu. breakfast was good with a microwave bag heating your croissant. The rooms seem to be well soundproof between guests.

The staff was very friendly and prepared to answer all our questions and to give touristic advise. The location is perfect for the ones going to Machu Picchu per bus. The rooms are new and very tidy. We didn't have the chance to try the normal breakfast, but they prepared a take away for us, since we were leaving very early. Highly recommended this simple and affordable hotel!

Great small town on the way to Machu Picchu.

Great small town on the way to Machu Picchu. Plenty of hotels for every taste and budget. You could try to buy 1000 tickets to Machu Pichu from local Ministry of Culture. Every day they are selling 1000 extra tickets for next day. Whenever you arriving it's always good to check as Ministry is open until 22.00. Also you need to be in the cue 6.00 or earlier when you want to be sure for tickets.

Loved it! definitely worth the visit.

Loved it! definitely worth the visit. We stayed two nights in Aguas Calientes. I wish I had stayed a door or two longer as the town is small but really lively and fun to be in. Also, we took a panoramic train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes and its definitely worth the experience. I will be journalling my experience, and provide tips in the near future on my blog so stay tuned: https://travelzbyu.blogspot.com/ For now, view pics and videos posted on my social media pages indicated on the link to my blog. - TravelsByU

If you can, see Machu Picchu early in the morn or in the late afternoon for best pics and fewest crowds. Take the bus up to Machu Picchu and then walk the stairs down to Aguas Calientes if you have 2 hours for the trek and strong knees/ankles to manage the stairs. Don't let travel agencies rush you from Cusco/Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco in one day. Definitely spend the night in Aguas Calientes before or after your visit to Machu Picchu. The town has a lot of character and tremendous beauty. Lots of choices for dining, shopping and spas/massages. We wish we had stayed 2 days!

Started early and arrived machu picchu at 6:30am. Our guide Peter knew where to go to position ourselves to having nice photos. We were super fortunate that the fog came and went and didnt linger long. Suggest not to go late cuz by the time we finished which was after 3.5hrs there were so much people already. Take the Circuit 2 route if you have time. Its definitely worth it.

Machu Picchu itself was breathtaking.

Machu Picchu itself was breathtaking. It was very cloudy to start but eventually lifted for spectacular views. The process to get a ticket if you arrive without one is the worst. The information from the Ministry of Culture releases one thousand extra tickets a day and is very unclear about the process. I had to spend two nights instead of one and received no credit or refund on my train tickets which had to be changed.

This is quite a luxurious hotel at Aguas Calientes! We had decided to spend two days and visit two different routes at MaPi! Since it was at the end of the trip we decided quite late to splurge on this hotel and it was a good decision because we had a lovely time relaxing in a river view room with the hot tub ! After all the climbing at Ollantaytambo and MaPi we could stretch and loosen our aching selves😄

The hotel is located in the center of the small town. And it is very easy to walk to any places–bus station, ticket office. The owner is very nice. I checked out at 5:40 a.m. since I only got the ticket to Machu Picchu at 6:00 a.m., she still gave me som bread and coffee for a very simple and fast breakfast.
