Very friendly reception and personnel. Special wishes were immediately fulfilled e.g. a special fruit drink was prepared; the hotel offered to have our car cleaned. Excellent cuisine. Although the hotel is on a main road, it was very quiet in the evenings.

We were made so very welcome by the property owner, Aziz. Excellent communication prior to arriving and greeted upon our arrival. The garden house is an oasis of calm and perfectly appointed. A lovely garden area to relax in with a small pool. The interior is very well and comfortably furnished. This property met and exceeded our expectations.

Perfect accomodation in the heart of Bahla with the most helpful and kind host we have met in Oman. Suliman helped us when we struggled with unexpected problem with our car rental, prepared a detailed plan of our sightseeing, reccomended us great restaurants and was very protective even after we left. This hotel is located on strategic place - if you want to visit various tourist attractions nearby (Hoota cave, Balcony Walk, Bahla). Great receptionist, large apartment with comfy beds, washing machine was a big plus as we got dirty clothes after our walks.

The property is beautiful. It feels (as the owner hopes it will) like a home away from home. But it also feels like a calm and lush Oasis in the middle of the desert mountains next to a lively little city. Everything is a combination of new and/or well thought out, and it's clear Ahmed has taken great care to craft a wonderful experience for his guests. He's there when you need him but will leave you to yourselves otherwise. It's been a long time since I experienced this type of traditional Arab hospitality at a hotel (was my partner's first time experiencing it). Staying here was a delight. It's also a really convenient location -- about 50 minutes from Wadi Damm / 90 minutes from Bat/Al Ayn Beehives... 15 minutes from Misfat al Abriyeen... 40 minutes from Nizwa... and he's arranged so you can get really yummy local food delivered from a nearby restaurant.

All you can want out of a stay in the old part of Al Hamra, a superb mix between traditional and a modern touch. I highly recommend Mountain View for staying a few days in the area, it’s totally worth it, from the look and feel of the place, to the big terrace and the extremely friendly staff!

Everything was perfect! Beautiful and very tastefully decorated guesthouse in a traditional old house. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners and tea on the roof terrace with amazing views. Very nice, friendly and hospitable owner. Very relaxing stay :-)
