The room was bright and clean, with two very large twin beds and a lovely view of yhe mountains. Firaz in reception was polite and helpful as we're the staff in the dining room. Having breakfast and dinner included was an extra bonus, great value for money. Absolutely recommend this hotel

I felt that this place was like heaven on earth to be honest...

I felt that this place was like heaven on earth to be honest!! So peaceful, nice weather (it rained a bit which was great!), green trees and bushes, trees that I have never seen before elsewhere, nice people with high morals, even the expatriates I feel took some from the morals of the locals. The houses and roads were all beautiful, well maintained and surrounded with gardens. The products we saw and got in the shops/festival such as olive oil, sidr, rose water/oil and skin products were a bonus. They are all organic and hand-made by the locals which I really loved.

I regularly go to Jabal Al Akdhar...the only issue is that...

I regularly go to Jabal Al Akdhar...the only issue is that facilities in the town have not imrpove over the years....I love the rustic feel of the mountain and hence I do not mind these lack of facilities.

GREAT FOR HIKING ABANDONED VILLAGES - The Green Mountain...

GREAT FOR HIKING ABANDONED VILLAGES - The Green Mountain offers lots of easily accessible hiking as well as hiking for more experienced travellers. The area is a great starting point for day-hikes. Recommend avoiding the "Three villages" hike, as it seemed very crowded (with great views), and take some of the many many alternative hikes.

Jabal Al Akhdar is a breathtaking mountain destination in...

Jabal Al Akhdar is a breathtaking mountain destination in Oman, offering stunning views and cool mountain air, especially popular during the holidays. To reach the top, a 4WD vehicle is mandatory, as there’s a checkpoint at the base of the mountain to ensure this requirement is met. The drive up is scenic but demanding, so it's important to use the correct gears, monitor engine temperature, and take breaks if needed to avoid overheating. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes once you reach the top, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. However, there are no petrol stations along the mountain road, so be sure to fuel up either at the base before starting the climb or at the top before heading back down

When you visit Oman, you cannot miss this amazing area.

When you visit Oman, you cannot miss this amazing area. This should be on top of the list. The road are great, it is easy to drive, Oman is strict on using 4x4 cars to go into the mountains, although the roads and the conditions don’t need it. Compared to the Alps, this is mostly less steep and the safety features make it practically impossible to have a serious accident. We visited 3 hotels, Indigo Hotel, Alila and Damask and they are all amazing. Indigo and Alila have the best views, but the price is accordingly.
