New Zealand1. Generous Hosting: The property is the owner’s home, but since we booked for seven people, they kindly left the house for us and even allowed us to use an extra ensuite room.

• A relaxing jacuzzi.
• A Nespresso machine with milk provided, which was a thoughtful touch.
• A user-friendly fireplace that worked with just a few button clicks.

I was only there for 2 nights, specifically for the NZ History Federation AGM and Conference. So it was very busy with organised activities at Te Hana Cultural Centre and bus trip around Port Albert, including the Museum across the road from motel and RSA Wellsford. Wellsford is a town you have to drive through as you travel...
Wellsford is a town you have to drive through as you travel north to the Bay of Islands and beyond. It can be a bottle neck so if you are not heading there for an overnight stay, best to make certain that you do not hit it at peak travel times or season. It has everything for a quick stop. Petrol station. Many fast food outlets and amenities for travellers. If you want to take a quieter more scenic route to Auckland, then take the road to Hellensville which joins SH1 at Wellsfords Northern end.
