What a little Gem this home is. Absolutely superb, beautifully decorated, spotless everything you need, so quite comfortable, super fast internet. Gorgeous courtyard, love this place will definitely stay again. On-street parking and lovely neighbourhood, perfectly located. Sammi our host was in constant contact with anything we needed and great communication. Thank you for having us both and your sensational country love NZ first visit definitely not the last.

Although in general we have high requirements as guests, the drifter was the best hostel ever for us until now. The location is very convenient, walking distance to the centre. There are many places for socializing and good vibes. Even the kitchen, which is really busy sometimes, helps bringing people closer. Painting and free yoga courses are "plus".

Breakfast was a decent continental.the coffee in the breakfast room was not as good as the coffee in the conservatory. The room was beautifully designed with all that was needed. The history and beauty of the building have been loving incorporated into the hotel.

We couldn’t have had a better start of our time in New Zealand. The hotel is wonderful, very nice and clean room. it has everything you need. the staff though is outstanding. We want to give a very big shoutout to Alana from reception and Niki from The Lane, where we had amazing breakfast. The staff is what made our stay so wonderful. Thanks so much! We just came back after 5 weeks of traveling just to have breakfast again and say hi. Hopefully we will see you again!

What a beautiful place! Amazing view from the room. It's very quiet and peaceful to stay here, getting completely relaxed with a great bottle of wine. The room is extremely clean and spacious. We enjoyed the continental breakfast in a beautiful room .We liked the feeling of "home" because you can have some fruit and some coffee or tea any time you like.I enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle on the table and the fireplace in the lounge for a rainy day!And we foundthat Lucas and Florencia were very nice and efficient hosts!
