Enjoyed the layout of the cabins and property as they are family friendly and set up for all types of travellers and guests.
The lake is worth a visit as is the beach,
A West Coast summer sunset is hard to beat.

The area is beautiful, the beach and the lake.
The area is beautiful, the beach and the lake. There is free camping at the lake by the way. I would do that next time. I ate at the Mahinapua Hotel however most of the time the kitchen is closed. What I had was basic. I would recommend Fat Pippi's pizza for whitebait fritters. That would be my next choice. I would avoid the Mahinapua Hotel on my next visit.
