The hospitality of the host Paul was excellent. The place was also perfect for the groom and the groomsmen to have the pre-wedding photographs. Just awesome. If I get the chance I will be going back again!!

Lovely hosts, they helped check us in & made sure we had everything we needed, good value for money, great location, only a short walk to Pāpāmoa beach, close to the local dairy, playground, supermarket, petrol station and shopping malls, the yard is nice and private, fully fenced, bbq, outdoor table & umbrella, good neighbours, safe neighbourhood, the bach is cosy, the decor is absolutely beautiful, the place has everything you need ie books to read, boardgames, wifi, tv with Netflix etc, air con & heat pump, plenty of bedding, towels, toiletries, bath & shower, washing machine & dryer, fully equipped kitchen, oven & cooktop, microwave, the place was clean, comfy beds. The kids absolutely loved it. We highly recommend the place to families or a small group of friends.

    First time to this area.

First time to this area. It is similar to the area we live in, so was interesting to make a few comparisons. It is basically a long road with properties on both sides, as it extends the length of a land spit. The letterbox numbering is a bit quirky, as boxes are mixed up from both sides of the street, but a bit of observation reveals the pattern if you are looking for a particular property. The village has a shop which stocks all the essentials and which does takeaway fish and chips, and down the road further is a Cafe and Bar, which also provides meals on Friday and Saturday evenings. A market of casual stalls opens adjacent to the cafe on Saturdays. Lots of the properties are for sale here. This surprised us, but apparently is the norm here. You can choose the beachfront or the estuary side, and properties range from basic bach to expensive two-storied houses.
