I liked most the variety of eating places both in the shopping centre and out on the water There was a ferry running every half hour across the bay to Russell a very interesting little town to spend the morning in I loved my morning walk along the beaches before it got busy Paihia faces east so it gets the morning sun The town hosts international cruise ships so there is a huge variety of tourist activities available from the centre itself

Pahia is a lovely spot with some great restaurants and shopping. The ferry over to Russell ia a great day trip and Russell has some fantastic and unique spots to dine and shop. Would go back there again and would stay longer to explore all the experiences Pahia and Russell have to offer.

The proximity to the Waitangi Treaty grounds was the drawcard for me on a first-time visit. A must-see for all New Zealanders and international visitors. Access to nearby historic Russell is by a short ferry ride (car ferry or passenger ferries) or an hour's drive. Attractive seaside town, happily bustling during a long weekend. Parking was very full in the main centre but good parking is available a short stroll beyond the precinct. Public toilets available.

Everything is within walking distance, and everyone is so friendly. Jimmy Jacks is awesome to eat at, food is amazing. Our husbands went out on a fishing charter, great experience they enjoyed it. Recommend Big Fish for the charter.

Pahia is a lovely area, well worth a few days or more depending on what you want to do, definitely do one of the Bay of Islands 1/2 day boat trips. A brilliant selection of restaurants in town. A beautiful place.

Paihia is absolutely stunning.

Paihia is absolutely stunning. I visited most recently in Winter and loved taking the kids over to Russell to see some true NZ history. But the first time I visited was Summer and that is when you should definitely visit. Its out of this world. Great food outlets, pubs, walks and views. What a true paradise!

Our stay at Bay of Islands Beachhouses was wonderful and a real highlight of our New Zealand holiday. We were met by owner Theo on our arrival and shown around. The views out over the beach and bay were spectacular and the apartment itself was immaculate. From the apartment we could soak up the views, enjoy the quiet beach below or take a short 10 minute walk around the shore to the restaurants and facilities in the main town of Paihia. We couldn't have asked for more and only regret that we didn't stay longer.

Hotel is very centrally located Room was in a neat and tidy condition and ready for the family to sit back and relax. Pool was a nice option for the kids but even during peak summer, the pool was too cold but the kids had a dip anyway.

It was a lovely location and a beautiful suite looking out to the beach and the water. It was great to have a swimming pool and hot pools. We liked the fact that it is a quiet boutique hotel and has rules preventing noise.

This hotel is amazing value for money. Location is perfect and the rooms are very comfortable albeit small. The pool was great for kids and the joining rooms made it super easy for our family.
