We stopped here on the way to Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo. Easy to find. A small, very quiet town (though it was Sunday so couldn’t have made a difference) A wonderful restaurant nearby - something for all the family. Great atmosphere. We cooked our own meals on a hot brick! Novel. Room was well equipped, comfy bed, good shower and all we could need. Huge golf course in front of our room so nice views.

Lovely homely apartment. Plenty of space and some nice personal touches from the owner. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Location was quite quiet and the restaurant on site was handy for dinner.

The Heritage Gateway Hotel is situated in Omarama, at the crossroads of MacKenzie Basin, Lindis Pass and Waitaki Valley. It offers panoramic views and excellent hiking and biking opportunities.

Omara- more was a perfect location for our one night stopover in Omerama during our A2O cycle ride. The accommodation is first class, very comfortable and so well equipped with a lot of extras we did not expect. Karen is a great host, responded quickly to my questions and gave us lots of recommendations of where to have dinner and other things to do in the town. I would highly recommend this host and the beautiful accommodation to anyone visiting the area.

Just 3 minutes’ drive from Lake Benmore, Ahuriri Motels features a barbecue area with outdoor seating and lovely mountain views. A flat-screen TV and a microwave are standard in all rooms.
