I would highly recommend staying at Waters Edge.
I would highly recommend staying at Waters Edge. It was amazing to wake up each day to the view of the water and the sound of the birds. The home is a short walk along the track to Opua marina area. I believe that you can also walk the same track to Paihia although we ran out of time to do this. A close car ride to Paihia. I was travelling with three other adults, and the use of a second bedroom with single beds was ideal. The property has all the amenities for a short stay (microwave, fridge, TV, etc.). The balcony is very nice, although overlooking the main road which quietens in the evening. Parking is available, but beware of exiting onto the main road at high traffic times. Wonderful view from the big terrace to the Bay of Islands. Excellent daily breakfast provided, including freshly baked bread/croissants, fesh fruits and yoghurt every morning. Right next to the Opua car ferry which provides a bit of movement and interest as the ferries come and go. All rooms were spacious. Kitchen had everything you could need.
