Last minute booking, the managers were very professional and friendly. Quick to respond to a query about a lost item that was eventually found with our belongings. The unit was comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this lovely motel.

OMG this room was like something you would find in a posh health spa! Range of teas and coffees, beautiful beauty products, a massage chair, facial rollers etc etc... Location-wise, very short walk to a lovely black-sand beach. The room is surrounded by citrus and other trees, and lots of birds. Hosts Rachel and Royden are amazing!! Friendly, welcoming, such nice people. Food: goodness me, the delicious breakfast will keep you going all day, and I would recommend ordering the pizza for dinner, as that was superb. This was really a 5-star experience.

    Despite recent news coverage Ōpōtiki is an idyllic location. It has most amenities, the locals are great. Small town shopping as expected but is the gateway to the East Coast with scenery to die for, fishing and swimming or just time out at the beach along this coastal stretch.

    Opotiki is a very quiet and sleepy town.

    Opotiki is a very quiet and sleepy town. There are just a few restaurants. They closed early. There is however a good supermarket not too far, I think it’s called Nat’s. Good to get your supplies for meals. We didn’t stay long but didn’t see much to do. But please refer to the official guides as I’m sure you might find something that we missed. We are an elderly couple, so we do not look for extreme sports or vigorous hikes.

    Kaipai Takeaway Shop in town was very yummy an best burger ive tasted for a while also liked the Pavlova which i brought 2 of as they were homemade an they were lovely, Chemist was friendly an helpful place so was the Maori shop kool friendly helpful lady an 2nd hand clothing shop the lady in there she was out of this world you could yak as if you were bestmates from wayback

    I got to meet the locals and had an insight into their world. They were friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and the weather was so lovely it made work a pleasure. I enjoyed the best most fluffiest pancakes at the Hot Bread Cafe. I highly recommend. Taking my dog to each beach along my travels ment he really got a good workout. Walking off the delicious lunch with a colleague/friend along one of the many beaches was invigorating.

    Museum was one of the best in New Zealand.

    Museum was one of the best in New Zealand. We spent over 2. 5 hours there. Wonderful exhibits donated by local woman who left half a million dollars to the museum. Very interesting, photos and write ups. World class museum, a must see. It is very well run and looked after. Worth a visit to Opotiki just to visit this. The Anglican church in the centre was beautiful too, and some interesting but sad history to read on a board outside. Great restaurant The Royal, wonderful cafe opposite Subway. Great walks and beautiful beaches especially Bryan's Beach. Well positioned not far from Whakatane. Great place to visit.

    Our group of three were very comfortable for the night at Opotiki Holiday Park. We stayed to break up a trip from Auckland to Ruatoria and it was the perfect location to do so. We arrived late, after the office had closed but Raje made sure we had explicit directions to get to our unit. We had no issues. As well as leaving the heater and lights on for us, much appreciated.

    Very modern and immaculately presented accommodation about 10 minutes from Opotiki where I was working. A rural property with great views of the sea. Only had a short stay but really enjoyed the studio. The kitchen had everything I required for a light meal.

    Tasman holiday park is a beautiful little peice of paradise tucked away in the perfect spot by the beach. Perfect get away from city life. The staff was very welcoming and have the best vibes. Definitely heading back next time we head home back to opotiki.

    simple to find, served its purpose, I think its fair to say its the flashest, nicest motel in Opotiki. Good for whanau or travelers with pets, it's nothing flash but it is nice and clean, and the bed is comfortable enough, the staff are awesome.
