Perfectly situated near town centre and therefore walking distance to shops/food Comfy bed Good shower pressure Quiet at night Parking right out the door so easy in/out with bags Kitchen had all you need TV with good selection of channels Fast free WiFi Easy to find It was perfect for our needs and provided everything necc for a one night stay. But alas, does it pass the Jacinda imposed MIQ test? Having spent time in Jacinda Jail a few years back, I now look at hotels/motels completely differently in that - could I stay here in self-isolation for two entire weeks? While this property would not be permitted as an MIQ site because Jacinda would assume guests might mingle and it was imperative that we all be under army guard (so that was fun!) so as not to touch even though we were all jammed in an aircraft tube for 12 hours plus prior to arrival into NZ and then boarded onto a crowded bus to get to said MIQ site, had it been permitted, it would have been a perfect spot... Room #7 is bright and spacious and sunny in the afternoon and overall just has a good vibe. So yes, you can stay here for two weeks and not go mad.

Such a lovely location! We arrived quite late, but was still greeted by the host who gave us a very warm welcome. The building was very charming, and the smell of fresh wood was still present in the lodge, despite it being 30 years or so old. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

If you’d like a wee breakaway from the kids or have a wedding to go to at Te Miro Woolshed this is the place to just relax in, soak up the amazing garden, with that “home away from home” feeling 🧡 The hospitality was top tier amazing, we checked in the afternoon and went out and came back quite late and our hosts greeted us in the driveway, we came back to our room heated, electric blankets on, just a lovely toasty setup for us to settle for night, AH-Mazing. The breakfast was amazing, different types of homemade spreads, my favourite was the Quinche Jelly 😮‍💨 we used some of the homemade jams and relish for our spread before th wedding, delicious ! As for our hosts, thank you so much for having us, we wish we stayed longer, such beautiful people, with the coolest life stories!! very welcoming we would definitely be back again, stay a bit so Judy can share her homemade spread recipes 😋 yummmm
