Merrill was amazing, what a fabulous place she has. Very rustic but super comfortable. We loved our cabin, bed so comfy and cosy. Shower and loo block very clean and well equipped, extra towels everywhere. Kitchen and dining area was fantastic, well equipped and clean, everything there and for use. Lovely to sit in lounge area after dinner and read. Merrill was very friendly and helpful. She told us loads about area and where to go. Such an enthusiastic lady, she made the place even better. Would definitely go again and would have stayed longer if we had time. Loved the location. Scenery great. River beautiful.

Perfect location for catching a boat to Doubtful the next day. We'll set up with everything you need, milk, coffee, shampoo, Netflix. Nicely styled and functional. Had turn the heater on before I arrived.

The house is a beautiful, spacious and well equipped. It also is very well located to access Lake Manapouri in around 2-3 minutes by foot. The host is very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there!

The house is very clean, fully equipped kitchen and everything that you could wished for a holiday home, the living room is decorated with a Christmas tree . The location is a short 15 mins from Te Anau and it provides great value. I like the quietness neighborhood and close to the lake with a nearby restaurant. Do get your grocery from Te Anau with more choices

This place is perfect in so many ways. Host meeting you on arrival - staff appear whether you wander out of your room and ask if they can assist. Amazing service. Every member of the team was perfectly polite, engaging, and responsive. They will organise anything that you want - trips across the surrounding area. One couple had a helicopter trip and it literally landed on the lawn of the place. That is defeintly the way to end a long day! Location - stunning is the word you will probably read most about this place. And it actually is. Room - we had the room with the terrace - I would book this again - as you walk straight out from your room into a courtyard which is in the shade and sun in the afternoon. This is an all-inclusive accommodation - it has to be as it is a trek from the local towns. The food was extremely good. It was never too much or too little the chief has got the balance right. At the end of the trip I left items in the room (very annoyed with myself) the owner looked after them and made sure we got them back. Everything was amazing

A lovely place to stay with lots of history and character. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, pub with food across the road and only a short walk to the harbour for Doubtful Sound cruises. From the moment we were greeted by Rob and welcomed with tea and home made cake on the verandah this was a delightful stay.

What a brilliant place to stay. When you say holiday park, you think run down motor-home field. Not this place. All the accommodation options had wonderful charm, like a little village of quirky houses. We booked one of the small shed-like rooms, which was super cosy with a heated sheet and heater, and was really all you need. The communal areas were very social and useful, with 4 sinks, loads of hobs, lots of seating. The chip van on site provided amazing food, which really brought everyone together on the sunny evening we were there. The people seem to really enjoy running this place and the passion comes through. A wonderful location too, with tonnes to do nearby as well as the main attractions. Absolutely wish we had stayed there for more than a night, book it for a few days at least! Amazing value for such a lovely place. Favourite in NZ so far.
