What a lovely stay! The single bed room is great value for money. There’s also so many bathrooms which is wonderful. There’s a large spacious living area and kitchen and balcony (great to hang out for those nice warm evenings).

Amazing communication from Jeremy, accommodated to every request we had and very pleasant, all while being super busy!! The home is beautiful and spacious, exceeded all expectations. Methven is a good base for exploring, viewing the southern...

Methven is a good base for exploring, viewing the southern alps, the Rakaia Gorge and close enough to visit the Staveley Station Cafe for lunch or morning tea. The 4 Square in town is well stocked and the staff are lovely. As an outdoor painter, there is a lot of inspiring scenery to paint.

A great little town with so much to offer.

A great little town with so much to offer. The Blue Pub had great food suitable for all the family's tastes. Everything you could want is available in the town. Lots of activities to do and the Opuke Pools are a must. We had the kids with us so didn't get to experience the adults only side of things where private pools and dining are available.

Opuke Thermal Pools & Spa are a must see, must do.

Opuke Thermal Pools & Spa are a must see, must do. World class! The mountains are beautiful. If you have transport, close by is Ashburton, Lake Coleridge and much more. The information centre in Methven, "I-Hub" is a wealth of information and things to do. Off the beaten track, an alive, looked after, vibrant small town NZ with genuine charm and a smile. My wife and I loved it, we will be back.

Methven is a good place to stay if you are planning a few...

Methven is a good place to stay if you are planning a few days skiing in the winter, be prepared for closed days. I would go for self catering as the standard of service and quality of food is much the same as what you could do at home. If you are prepared to pay top dollar there may be somewhere that is high standard, I never found it. On closed days you can walk the Fairy Trial by the racecourse, go to the hot pools try not to eat there unless you are prepared to wait 40 minutes to an hour for your food, beverages may not be up to standard. There are also other tracks in the bush not far from Methven that you can do a 30 to 3 hour walk. Catch the bus up the mountain its much less stressful than driving.

Safe, friendly, small and cozy town, a stone's

Safe, friendly, small and cozy town, a stone's throw from one of the best ski fields in NZ. Our hire car wasn't locked all day with all our gear in it, nothing was disturbed , it's just a really nice town and the two pubs have great food, just leave your gumboots off

I would highly recommend this accommodation to everyone staying in Methven. . Excellent value for money . Roaring fire . Extremely clean in all areas . Beds were made up beautifuly and so comfortable . A quick strol to the pubs and restaurant and shops. . Mountain views . The bar and restaurant were lovely What more could one ask.for!!!

First time to Methven. The host was pretty great. The room was basic but met the needs. Only negative really was not having coffee making facilities in our room - we had to go down into the dining hall if we wanted a cuppa but not a huge negative.

This hotel was a great find. The room was clean, the staff were friendly. It’s close to everything. We actually ended up staying here an extra night. It didn’t break the bank, which is great for travellers..

The service at Ski Time was amazing. I have never experienced this at any other motel/hotel. Some parts a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Best stay I have ever had.
