Hill Top Retreat was stunning in terms of rural panoramic views, pristine and stylish accommodation plus relaxation. The nearby Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Blenheim was an exceptional museum and we enjoyed the ambience of Blenheim - very relaxed with a Marlborough wine festival taking place which was low key but fun.

Beautiful elegant property with great attention to detail, situated in the countryside just outside Blenheim off the main road south. An old gracious villa, with a lovely garden and trees, a verandah to sit out and enjoy the ambiance, and interiors tastefully decorated with antique styles. Operates in the style of a lodge with public areas to enjoy. A very restful choice if you are happy to relax with a book rather than a TV, or want to range out each day exploring the surrounding wine district. Absolutely delicious breakfast with special homemade touches, served around the table in the elegant dining room. Room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and thoughtful additions. Our hostess Heidi was charming and helpful - one of those special people who exude warmth and caring hospitality. She has put a huge amount of thought and effort into creating this haven. An absolutely lovely stay, we were very sorry to leave.

Clean, comfortable bed, ok location as it was close to town and the river, so lots of walks and bike rides, didn’t try the pool or use the bar, but looked ok

Staff were so helpful. Room was beautiful and was in a great location in the middle of the town. It's a listed building so had a lot of history.

Friendly staff, great restaurant, pool, sauna and spa! Rooms are a good size, bed was incredibly comfortable and showers were fitted with a small washing line ideal for drying swimwear. We also had the option to check-in early and check-out late, this made our stay!! We are already planning on coming back soon!

Really friendly and kind hostess...loved our healthy breakfast...lots of choices! Comfy bed...quiet street and the home is nestled in very pretty gardens...toilet even had a heated seat and bidet if required!! Highly recommend
