Top notch breakfast with a vast array of options. The room had everything you could want. We ordered room service on our last night to really relax and the food standards were great :) The staff are attentive, polite, pleasant and basically do everything they can to ensure you have the best possible time. I really respect business' like Everest Boutique as they really strive for professional excellence.

Our stay at Hotel Yambu was fantastic and memorable. Their warm and attentive service made us feel right at home. They were especially patient and caring with my parents, who were senior citizens, which made a huge difference in our overall experience. Breakfast was simple but good. People in Kathmandu are friendly and helpful. The weather was fair for this time of year. A lot to see and take in. Shopping, eating all the very delicious Mo Mo soaking in Jhol. All the Temples, Shrines, breathtaking mountains views, and of course Mount Everest.

Some part of loads were not paved so sometimes like rush hour the air becomes so dusty due to so many cars and buses. Some restaurants would charge some extra fee if you offer to pay by credit card. cash would be better in a local restaurant.

My visit to Nepal was full of beautiful surprises, incredible vistas, and lovely warm people. I would recommend a trip to Nepal to anyone with a keen sense of adventure and anyone wanting a serious change from the Norm. From Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp to Chitwan National Park and finally Pokara you can't ask for a better adventure. I definitely be returning here.

On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen...

On the first day of Kathmandu in the city bus I was stolen money from my poshest. Until that time I had thought that Nepali were honest and diligent. So that I didn’t pay attention to things like having my money stolen on the bus. On the last day the airport was closed because of the strike, so I had to reschedule my ticket and stay in hotel one night more The city is so dusty and lots of rubbish. However, I like the old cultural constructions and festivals.

You have to say No!

You have to say No! Everyone wants you to buy from them but they are used to being rejected. There are some people wanting to talk to you, often wanting to show you their workplaces etc so they can lure you in to buy their wares. Conversations always start with Hello sir/madam. Which country are you from? However, lovely people and a lo ely place, full of history and religious beliefs.

I strongly advise this hotel. The location is perfect, next to Thamel, but in this hotel you don't listen hustle and bustle of the street. It's a quiet place. The staff is very friendly and rooms are good. The breakfast is very good with sweet and salt food served in a tiny quiet garden. Moreover is a cheap hotel :)
