You become one of the Family at Golden River, I had such a fantastic time here, a wonderful family led by Pappu, Incredible guide, the most delicious food & the best location 😍😍 I saw so many birds just sat on the porch drinking Masala Chai, Recommend to anyone who wants to fulfill their dreams of seeing the wildlife & experience the warmth & hospitality of a great local family, & yes, I saw 3 Tigers amongst so much other wildlife!!!! 😍😍🐯🐯😍😍

An authentic gem on the edge of Bardia National Park! The staff of this family-run lodge is very friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and based on the vegetables they grow in their own garden, and it is very well located in a quiet area. Anil, who speaks English, French and Hindi, even helped me organise two safari days in the jungle. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and affordable place to stay close to Bardia National Park.

We spent 4 nights at this amazing place. Very close to the entrance of Bardia Nationalpark. The rooms were clean and the food was always very delicious. Guides are professional and made the Safari to an incredible experience.

The food was delicious, Sarita's cooking is the best. The host family was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. They were extremely kind and helpful and bent over backwards to make my stay perfect. Shardul the son is also a bardia guide, a very good one

If you would like to stay in a true Nepali homestay, Nanu and Kali’s place is amazing. They offer a very pure, yet comfortable experience. They have two rooms for rent, and live on the property themselves. Nanu will be able to guide you on hiking safari’s as well for a good price. Apart from that the food is amazing. :) Would 100% recommend anybody looking for a Nepali experience to go here!

the family is super helpful, friendly and easy going :) the food on the menu is very tasty. the houses are spacious, cozy and warm, with a great bed and bathroom. i felt at home immediately. the houses offer a lot of privacy on the big piece of land. the village is only a 15 min walk away and it is possible to see elephants nearby. thanks a lot for this welcoming stay!

Thank You Very Much, it's like saying nothing... 20 out of 10 possible points won't reflect the experiences I had here!!! Simply-you have to stay there for a while to experience it all. We have visited Bardia National Park 4 times. There are a lot of lodges and resorts, and they all offer pretty much the same things. But Bardia Wildlife Resort TRULY stood out. We stayed in a newly renovated room with air conditioning, good wifi, excellent meals. We took all our meals in the beautiful garden. We were surprised to see pizza and lasagna on the menu! And even more surprised when it really WAS pizza and lasagna! A welcome change from the usual Nepali food. The personal attention was incredible! Hira, the owner, took my wife into town to a fabric store where they made her two comfortable dresses for 1700 rupees, about 14 USD. I work in health care, and they arranged a visit to a local clinic, as well as the usual jeep and walking trips into the park.
