While it is a little farther from Durbar Square, the breathtaking architecture makes it well worth the visit. Very clean, tidy hotel with amazing breakfast on the rooftop. Comfortable bed, new amenities. Very modern bathroom and strong hot shower. Top Location. The owner Sulav is beyond helpful, friendly and kind. I had an issue with the wifi, I got offered another room immediately. I had an issue with my credit card for the payment. He went to the bank with me to fix it. Never something like this happened. I can highly recommend this hotel!

Durbar Square is mind blowing.

Durbar Square is mind blowing. Good to visit after dark too for different atmosphere. I visited a few of the Pokhari around the old city. The river Hanumante was truly shocking with amount of rubbish and putridity. So close to UNESCO which was surprising.

It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's...

It's been ages since I was in Kathmandu and I hear it's gotten busier. Bhaktapur is a laid back option--lots of history and lots of local life at the same time. It's a walking town for travellers and you learn how to instinctively avoid the scooters. Pretty much every building has a rooftop Cafe of some sort and the views are spectacular. There's a little hustle from guides for hire in Durbar Square but they're pretty knowledgeable and the hustle is very gentle. If you're not interested, you can politely refuse and that will be the end of it. Given a choice, I'd pick Bhaktapur over Kathmandu as a place to hang out.

Bhaktapur, a great place to look at the culture in your own time , and enjoy without the hussle and bustle of a busy city, great to explore and watch people and especially the locals going about there traditions. Don’t be afraid to walk up allley ways, you may find a surprise, an open space with a religious monument, or children playing , maybe ladies drying rice, at certain time of the year. All in all a great place to study the people and there culture. And don’t forget to Try the King Kurd.

I have been traveling a lot in my life, but I never saw such a beautiful city. Eventhough, the dramatical earthquake , all the buildings and temples have been fixed with the old materiel. Walking by night in Bhaktapur in those small street is like to be in the middle age. Bhaktapur is a travel through the time.

Quiet room right in the middle of the old centre of Bhaktapur. The hotel is owned by 3 welcoming and friendly brothers. We enjoyed a different breakfast every day on the rooftop. Because of the great breakfast, we tried also lunch and dinner at Rupakot. Every dish was delicious with fresh ingredients. Chicken Sizzler was my personal favourite!

The host was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure our needs were met. He gave us a free tour of Bhaktapur and we were invited to his families festivities. The breakfast was great with a lovely view from the roof. The location is fantastic, right next to Durbar Square. The beds are the best we have had in Nepal.

First up hotel location is excellent, with a rooftop overlooking Durbar Square. Everyone we met who worked there was delightful – unfailingly helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. The room was very comfortable and well thought out (good, hot shower; and tea & coffee facilities in the room).
