I loved our stay here. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was a beautiful experience with a reserved table and candle. So nice! Coffee on tap was appreciated along with the character of the accommodation itself was priceless.

This might be my favourite stay of all time. Cozy, retro vibes in a family-run hotel. The place felt like an institution, filled with memories of good times. We had the hotel to ourselves and had an amazing time exploring—it felt like we were in a museum of sorts. We ended up using the basement playroom to watch horror movies and had an absolute blast! It was almost moving how well maintained and cared for everything was, despite the many years of operation. I can't explain how warm and fuzzy I felt just being there—this place has so much character. The rooms and every space in the hotel were impeccably clean and well equipped. Not a single corner felt abandoned or uncared for. The beds were very comfortable, and towels were also provided. We were given a hair dryer free of charge when we requested it, and our perishables were kindly stored in the fridge for us. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety, and the restaurant was spacious and beautifully decorated. Last but not least, the hostess was super sweet and helpful. I'm really looking forward to staying here again sometime. Please visit this hotel—this is how all hotels should be!

The location is great, as long as you do not arrive too late you can walk to lots of shops and restaurants... the breakfast was very good.

Absolutely loved staying here, Sigrun was a great host and the farm itself was extremely charming, lots of soul and history. Was only there for a night but I would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Highly recommend

What I liked the most about the apartment was the peace and comfort. Everything was clean, stylishly decorated, and fully equipped with all the essentials. The location was ideal – quiet yet conveniently close to everything you might need. I felt at home right away. The host's hospitality was also a big plus: friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. A place with a great view, where you can truly relax and enjoy your stay!

Where to start… this place is amazing. The cabin is situated on the hills outside of Ål facing the south. When the sun comes up you will get plenty of sunlight. The view from the cabin is unmatched, especially during sunrise and sunset. There are a few cabins nearby but they were empty during our stay which meant plenty of privacy and solitude. The cabin is fully equipped with everything that you can expect. Due to a storm at sea our boat arrived way later than expected which meant that we arrived past midnight. The owner was waiting down in the village and guided us up the mountain to the cabin where a warm house with a burning fire was waiting. Can’t thank him enough. We had plenty of fun with the sledges on the roads near the cabin. Geilo is a 35min drive. You can charge your EV at the house. The village itself has plenty of (Tesla) superchargers. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Norway during winter!

Located by Strandafjord in Hallingdal, this holiday park is just 2 km from Ål train station. Ski slopes in Geilo are just 25 km away, while the site boasts its own beach area, a spa and petting zoo.
