Pretty city in an amazing environment. We stayed here on a Sunday so everything was unfortunately closed besides the bar and turist shops. I would have loved to explore more both in and around the city !

Good facilities, the guy at the Tourist Info was very good, but it felt a little... functional? There's so many great places to stay that maybe look twice? Henningsvaer has a more attractive character, for example.

There is not as much to do on a weekend as many facilities...

There is not as much to do on a weekend as many facilities are closed. Sunday is the worse day to spend in Svolvaer. If you have money do some trips out of the harbour like kayaking RIB excursion or fishing. If not you should do the Svolvaergeita walk. The tourist info centre is OK but promotes commercial trips mostly.

Most locations were within easy walking distance of the hotel, with the Information Bureau the one we visited most. The staff there gave good advice and were helpful with suggestions. We ate at the Fellini Restaurant but did not rate the food. Generally, we found Norwegian food exceptional and very different in character, well worth seeking out. The most interesting tour we did was Dave Williams's Loftoten in a Nutshell - our only disappointment was that it was too short. We also visited the War Museum which was geared to the experience of German soldiers and the Nazi heirachy in Norway during WWII. Strong stomach needed.

A beautiful area to explore - so many off the beaten path...

A beautiful area to explore - so many off the beaten path roads to take to spectacular views, with no crowds. We had bad weather and still enjoyed the spectacular scenery, and the people were all so friendly. Highly recommend this town and the Lofoten Island area!!

This small town is great base for exploring the Lofoten Islands. Exciying excursions are available across different companies & the scenery is spectacular. Sundays are very quiet with very little open, although nice to see, did make getting quick & cheap food difficult.

Im a Norwegian student from Bergen who wanted to Explore Lofoten this summer. 🇳🇴 The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and I felt taken good care of during my stay! A social place where people from different countries can meet over a coffee or a beer. The location was central, and the caravan was a cozy and unique experience. It’s also by far the most affordable place to stay in Svolvær during high season. A warm, budget-friendly, and memorable stay in the heart of Svolvær.

The Thon Hotel Svolvaer is perfectly located right on the water in Svolvaer, close to the hurtigruten quay, the city centre, and lovely boardwalk cafes. There is underground parking as well, and despite arriving early, the staff allowed us to park in our stall. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and offered a huge variety of food choices.

Nice hotel. Nice size of room and bathroom. Very nice kingsize bed. Very friendly personel Parking is a little bit small and not for free. Paying is very simple with easy park app Enough restaurants in the neighbourhood. Hotel itself has no restaurant. Breakfast is very good

We opted for the budget rooms and well, we got a budget room. Consider while booking and don't expect anything more. For us it was perfect while travelling through. Eventhough it is a contactless hotel the service is great. Breakfast also very good. Thank you.
