We had a lovely view of the mountains and the sea. All the staff were super helpful. Good sized room with a very comfortable bed so had a peaceful night's sleep. Lovely breakfast too 😁

The appartment is really gorgeous¸, very spacious and cosy. It really has everything you need. Bedrooms are big, beds are comfortable, living room has a wonderful big table to accomodate all. The two bathrooms are also big and comfortable. We communicated with the owner by booking.com messages and he was always available and ready to help. It was worth stopping there for two days during our trip.

The location is so perfect and relaxing even though we had two kids, it was relaxing and enjoyable for all. It has lovely views over the water through its huge windows. It is very in the middle of all the islands, it's a perfect starting point for day trips. It is also a 10 min walk to a supermarket, bar and restaurant. Oh, and at night the otters come onto the deck.

What a dream this was! The location is so picturesque and the home so comfortably appointed. We loved Lofoten Islands and part of it was this lovely accommodation. Perfectly positioned equidistant to two grocery stores, half way between the ferry and Svolvaer, tucked away, near a spectacular mountain hike, walking distance to a restaurant, a sauna, and a bunch of art galleries - it was a joy!

Great value for money, despite the fact that the cabin is a bit old it was clean, warm and spacious. The stuff is friendly and helpful, there was αn issue with hot water in the shower due to the cold weather and tried to solve it although couldn't be fixed, they offered us sheets and towels as a compensation for the inconvenience since isn't included in the price. Definitely recommend it!

    I was shut out of the hostel which had changed its name...

    I was shut out of the hostel which had changed its name without informing me, and I was not sent information or a code. I ended up sleeping outside on a picnic table until 3am when it started to rain! Potentially a dangerous scenario for a 67 year old lone traveller in the Norwegian arctic in early autumn. Clearly the whole experience was quite upsetting. I am just thankful it happened to me a hardened old dog and not to some inexperienced, young, female traveller. I took the first bus to Svolvaer at 7am and couldn't get way from Stamsund and its so called hostel fast enough. The rest of my travels in Norway and the accommodation was excellent ... but Stamsund Hostel let me down really badly!
