The apartment is very nice, clean, and well-kept. Its real advantage is the absolutely fantastic view of the lake from the window! It looks like a painting. In general, the location is wonderful, surrounded by greenery, somewhere up in the mountains. It’s worth taking a walk down to the lake. Thomas was very kind and helpful. The shower is not inside the room, but for us that wasn’t a problem. The toilet, however, is inside the room. Excellent value for money by Norwegian standards.

Good basic room. Nothing is open in the evening or morning and you let yourself in via a code. But the room was comfy, decent space and all you need for a night. Close to Spar and Bistro that is open in the evening. It was also very quiet with underfloor heating in the bathroom. Pound for pound it is decent for Norway. I'll stay again if I'm in the area.

A rural, unusual place, amazingly decorated in an old and artistic style down to the last detail, special dishes, sitting in lovely nature next to a river, sleeping with the sound of the river (doesn't disturb - on the contrary). The breakfast is good, with homemade products, and there is also a nice cafeteria. The owner is very nice, friendly and helpful. The house sits on a scenic road, with beautiful walking trails. It is worth going through there on the road north/south from Bergen, even at the cost of a slight deviation from the main road

I love this place. It is as great as it was in 2017 when I visited for the first time. Fairy-tale like houses, simple but cozy. Great facilities, great staff, and the wonderful lake and nearby Fossestien waterfall. So very peaceful! I wish I could spend days just sitting next to the lake, doing nothing. There are new owners, the old owner, a very nice man, retired before this season but he still keeps an eye on it. :) The new owners seem very nice too. They plan to switch the remaining bunk beds for bigger and more modern beds. The place is kids and dogs friendly, you can rent a boat etc. Two visits and I still found nothing to complain about. It’s just an awesome retreat.

The loft is really gorgeous and was by far our best accommodation experience in Norway! It’s brand new (completed in December 2024) with state of the art equipment, including automatic lighting, modern design kitchen and luxury home cinema (we never saw such a large screen before and watching « E.T. the extra-terrestrial » was really an experience!). To be noted as well that the sleeping corner in the living room has all curtains for making it dark when sleeping (even if daylight outside). More importantly, the location in a green farming environment along the lake and the view from the loft were unforgettable! We were warmly welcomed and were lucky to enjoy a boat trip on the lake which was fantastic as the weather was great (30 Celsius degrees, blue sky no cloud)! The host and his family were very friendly, thank you again! We highly recommend the place if you look for a nice stop between Bergen and Gerainger / Andalsnes / Alesund, you won’t be disappointed, it’s a really a beautiful environment and amazing loft!
