I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception...

I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception and a well informed manager. I had been upgraded to a better room at their initiative. Happy with that! And a very good breakfast - much more than I need in the morning. Great location for a ski vacatiion with ski area shuttlebus stopping close by if you need it. You can take your last run all the way down close to the hotel. Good local restaurants and bars very close by - less than a minute out the door. The hotel used to be the local hub before new construction at the resort base was developed. I have skied and arranged many ski trips with friends and colleagues to Hemsedal since 1986, staying at the hotel on several occasions and have many good memories from after ski and dinners at the hotel amongst the other possibilities "downtown" Hemsedal.

Love Hemsedal! Perfect ski resort. Good facilities. Have skied there a lot both down hill and cross country. Love the international feel. Great sports and interior stores. In general very friendly people. Nothing negative comes to mind!

We visited it in the summer 2025. It's a nice privately owned apartment with three bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 2 with bunk beds. It is newly developed and fully equipped and stocked. It is in a building next to the Fyri resort, which we used for drinks/pizza in the bar area one evening (excellent pizzas) and for a swim/sauna session one afternoon (with poolside drinks). It is a walking distance to the village, where the kids enjoyed the climbing parcourse. There are some nice walks in the mountains nearby.

Beautifully decorated and well equipped apartment in Ulsak, 2km from Hemsedal. 2 mins from local supermarket and next to bus station to catch ski bus if you don’t have a car. Plenty of parking close by if you do. The apartment was a haven to return to after a long day in the snow. The sauna was a fantastic bonus. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy lounge area with huge tv. Ski locker in the entrance hall, so no need to carry kit upstairs. Washing machine was a bonus. We loved it and will recommend.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! It was sooo luxurious! The views are unreal and it’s by far the best hotel in Hemsedal! The breakfast was lovely, the rooms are nice and the spa is so relaxing after a day skiing, we used it most days on our 1 week holiday! I would 100% recommend this hotel! I would suggest having a car if staying at this hotel though as we ate in the town most nights and I can imagine taxis aren’t cheap!

We have been travelling for so many years and still this was one of our favourite hotels ever. It was cozy, clean and had great add ons like the free games,the free parking, fireplaces, free lockers at the sports club and the free water. Special thanks to the super friendly staff at the reception who did an excellent job connecting two separate bookings to one ( this should be normal but it really is not)
