Already visited for a second time in winter, because we really liked the place - the cabin is very nicely furbished and comfortable, the ski tracks starts very close to the cabin (although groomed only Friday-Sunday, sometimes Thursday), very nice owner.

It was a wonderful stay in mountains, lovely view. It's really nice to sit on the terrace with the breakfast, enjoying the warm weather, observing the mountain and the lake, hearing swifts and swallows. Loved it so much that extended my stay for 2 more days. Hotell's staff was very welcoming and nice, helped with hiking routes, places to visit, tips etc. I felt like every day staying there and travelling around gave me so much recovery like a week elsewhere.

We booked for a family of 4 and had one of the buildings to ourselves. Vita and Helga who are the best hosts ever live in the central building. We stayed in Feb so was covered in snow. At the ranch they have plenty of snow shoes, overalls etc. even in kids sizes. There are even sledges you can use for the very quiet mountain roads. You will need a 4x4 if winter time. You get access to the hot tub, if other guests there it can easily be sorted out so you have private use of it. A new sauna has been built for an extra charge but it is well worth it. Just give them notice so they can heat it. Vita came along and gave us a foot bath and also face masks. She popped round most mornings with little treats for us all, but you also get your own family time. This is typical of Vita who goes a step beyond. We only booked one evening meal with her, 3 courses and all delicious. When she sends you directions, use her directions exactly. Do not use google maps alone. The road Google maps takes you is on what they call a tractor road and people can get stuck there for quite some time.
