We had an amazing stay at the Bed & Breakfast of De Heeren van Tuil. The bed was really comfortable and the area is exceptionally quiet. It was really relaxing. The hosts are super nice and providing an excellent breakfast with food from local produce. The hosts also provided good tips and suggestions for how to get around and where to go in the area. The place is very charming with a lot of great detail. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room (the suite) after a day with long walks.

The house is away from the busy roads and is quiet. There are several tables in the garden, and there is even a table where you can have privacy. It is located at the back of the building where you are staying. It is protected from rain. The large fridge in the room does not work, there is a miniature one for drinks. But when we expressed a desire to put some products in the fridge, the landlord quickly complied and provided us with a tourist fridge, which was three times the size of the small one for drinks by comparison. The owners are very nice people.

This is a gem,a little self-contained house. Although it looks old it is a new house built mainly with traditional materials- heavy timbers, oak boards and planks,straw bales and a boarded and thatched roof.The house is designed on a traditional building with a hayloft, the roof would have moved on the large upright posts sticking out of the thatch to accommodate the hay. Downstairs is a large air-conditioned lounge/ diner with kitchen facilities including a fridge. There is a beautiful large shower room and washbasin with hairdryer and a separate toilet. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a daybed. The stairs are quite steep but my 78 year old husband managed them. Breakfast is delivered through a hatch next to the front door ( so you don’t have to unlock the front door). Our tray had a large chunk of Gouda cheese from a local farm,slices of ham,butter,delicious crusty bread rolls, crisp-bread ,fresh sliced strawberries and fresh orange juice. There were eggs,milk, yogurts,and jam and sprinkles ( a Dutch addition to toast for breakfast)in the fridge. There was a coffee machine, toaster,an electric kettle and an egg boiling machine. Coffee, herbal and fruit teabags and sugar were also provided. Outside the patio doors there were chairs to sit and enjoy the garden and watch the sunset. Plenty of parking spaces to the side of the property. The local village has a castle,a church,several restaurants,bars and a pizzeria. There is lots of local tourist information in a folder and board games to play. There is good WiFi. We loved our stay here, and we will return.
