This hostel is a little slice of paradise! It’s the perfect place to relax for a week (or more!). They have great facilities, delicious food, really friendly staff and volunteers and lots of hammocks. We got to release baby turtles and it was amazing! Can’t recommend this place more; it’s one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in.

If you are in Leon take the time to spend a few days at Las Peñitas at Nuevo NAYAL! It’s stunning and beautifully designed. Everything feels new! The spanish couple who set up this place are so kind and welcoming. They have created a true oasis to escape the heat of the city and I couldn’t have had a better 3 nights stay here to round off my trip in Nicaragua. The food is brilliant as well at the restaurant. I ate all my meals there as they were too good! And the staff went out of their way to help me with laundry and tours etc. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best place to stay in Las Penitas.

Great place! The pool was nice and the kids loved the huge waves at the beach. The staff was super helpful, even preparing coffee and fruit for us for our departure at 4 am. We had good service at the restaurant, and the breakfast was really good. There isn't much around the hotel but you can catch the bus right outside the hotel. Would definitely return.

What truly stood out was the exceptional care and warmth of the staff. Unfortunately, I fell ill during my trip (completely unrelated to the hotel), but as a solo traveler, I was deeply touched by the genuine support and kindness I received from the team.
