We stayed there as part of a Namibia tour. Nice friendly and comfortable hotel. The room was absolutely fine and clean. The complex itself is also very nice, with all different type of trees ( e.g. Mango, avocado tree....) Breakfast is great. You can enjoy the pool ( Poll towels will be provided) and if you wish have diner there. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Everything was perfect. Facilities were very neat and clean. This is quite a new venue, but it lacked absolutely nothing. Will definitely stay there again. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive. I could go on forever. If you like camping with creature comforts, this is it.

Otjiwarongo Railway Station with a locomotive worked between...

Otjiwarongo Railway Station with a locomotive worked between 1912-1960 is a real attraction. We visited the Cultural Center where 14+ children have the opportunity of dancing, playing on instruments, painting, drawing and so on after the school. Also we visited the Multi-Purpose Help Centre, where Monica Tjehiua presented the goals of the MPHC, which -for instance- feed the poor children, and organize lots of programs for the disabled persons, supporting old people. From Otjiwarongo it's quite easy to reach the Cheetah Foundation (40-45 km) and the Waterberg Plateau Game Reserve (80 km) as well.

This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek.

This is a perfect halfway house from Etosha to Windhoek. We left Etosha to travel south, visiting the Cheetah Conservation Foundation at Otjiwarongo and then enjoying a relaxed dinner and evening at Out of Town Africa Lodge. Our stay was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was relaxed, we were not the early birds, but we were not rushed away by the staff. I highly recommend this little gem of a town and place to stay.

We stayed 2 nights but most travellers would probably stay one. Not very busy and this is probably because it is too far away to be a sensible base for exploring Etosha. A visit to the nearby Cheetah Foundation is well worth the time

Out of Africa Town Lodge exceeded all our expectations as far as accommodation, ambience, comfort, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff as well as superb dinner on the outdoor patio and a delicious buffet breakfast. I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful hotel to friends and family and would love to spend more time there next time we're travelling through Otjiwarongo.

This is a crossroad town.

This is a crossroad town. Good place for an overnight stay, gas up or eat. Not a place I would visit for its tourist attractions. This is the closest you can stay when visiting the Cheetah Conservation Fund and I found the drive to the CCF quite easy.

Wanted to stop in Otjiwarongo, and so pleased we stayed here. Lovely, roomy cottages on the grounds. Patio with wild outdoors that has passing (gentle) wildlife. Main hotel area very nice, looking out at pool and watering hole which is busy in the evenings just before sunset with antelope, ostriches and rowdy guineafowl. Excellent meals - dinners and breakfasts - to round things off.

Great location, just under 3 hours from Windhoek and a great stop over if travelling further north or towards Etosha. Beautiful hotel, the room was large and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable after a long flight! The restaurant was good with a great vegetarian selection to choose from. Lovely place to stay and great value for money!

Very good breakfast and excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. Got one of the best dinners on our trip in the whole of Namibia. Carl the manager provided unbelievable help with storing our meat for a few days in the hotel's deep freeze. Thank you and we will come back next year

This hotel had a beautiful garden with a water fountain in the middle. And the hotel staff were so friendly and caring. We also received large packed breakfast, because we needed to drive out early.
