Well, I.from the cold blue north and live in Oaxaca much of the year. Zipollite, if you don't know, is a tiny hub of tranquillity and common sense, about and hour south of Puerto E. It is the only nude beach in Mexico which scares away the MAGA crowd, but basically anything considered weird in other places is overlooked here. You can smoke a little weed in the surf side cafes. You can start a conversation with anyone in almost any language. You are worshipped for the goddess inside you and the town is full of beautiful young men and women with a few locals sprinkled in. I hate it that the real estate prices have gone sky high, but you can still rent a basic apt for about 10,000 pesos per month. The food is excellent. The people are lovely. I'm an old straight college teacher from CAnada and I love the place.

Zipolite is chill. it's the only nudist beach in Mexico and its very LGBTQ+1 (whatever) friendly, but it's just the chillest beach & beach town you've ever been to and no one there has issues. I regret reviewing it in case it becomes more famous and turns into TULUM. It is nothing like TULUM. Yoga and Surf Vibes mainly, but the male humpbacks park offshore to chow down on the squid fishery and whale bring good vibes. Very beautiful young people peppered with older visitors of every persuasion and from everywhere around the beach-bordered world. A cool place that uses English and Spanish interchangeably. Mazunte is close by and has its own good vibe, but Zipolite is the Birth of the Cool.

I live in the mountains in Oaxaca de Juarez city and visit the beaches once a month or so. Zipolite is famous in Mexico as the only official nudist beach. It's also about as LGBTQ2+ friendly as a place gets. I'm a straight white man but love the relaxed atmosphere of this little oasis of the spirit. Come and be whoever you are. No one cares too much. This, oddly, produces a very chill vibe throughout Zipolite, San Augustinillo and Mazunte. It is distinct from other spots on the pipeline like Puerto Escondido. Part of it is the humpback whales parked just off shore gorging on the squid: part of it is the turtle sanctuary in San Augustinillo. Come and see. Perfect for yoga and surf gods and goddesses as well as liberals looking for headspace. Bring books for the beach.

I've been here 6 times and lived here for one of those. I love it. The beach is excellent, and so is the central town area. it's less hippy and traveler than it used to be and more gay couples

I think it is important to note that I was here during the New Year’s holiday time. While I was there I would say that 95% of the people I saw were ages 25-30 and most were coming to Zipolite to party, hook up, and have a good time. I’m just turning 40 and was hoping for a bit more relaxation than what Zipo offers, but I think I may have just had different expectations. I did find some GREAT food in town and would highly recommend Afe for dinner (photos attached).

Zipolite is pretty much the only place in Mexico where you can vacation in a relaxed, natural way. On any beach, in many hotels, you can be with or without clothes, and everyone is completely tolerant. This is the first and last island of such freedom in Mexico. The local population is very friendly, and you can quite safely walk around the town and on the beach even at night.

Beautiful house and rooms, truly a tropical oasis. A few steps from the beach, but quiet and peaceful, and cool under the palm thatch roof. I loved reading or just lazing in my hammock on the terrace and hearing the hens scratching about next door. There are various restaurants and bars close by, and the centre of Zipolite is a short walk away along the beach. Corinna was super helpful and it was a pleasure to meet her.

It’s beautiful, our room was amazing with a lovely view (especially at sunrise and sunset), the staff are great especially Victor who really takes care to make sure guests feel welcome. You can also use the neighbouring hotel Casa Sol owned by the same people. The food is excellent in the restaurant. The private beach is a plus too! A nice short walk into town.

Room with the view (with the terrace) is big, beautiful and comfy. Staff is very nice too. The whole place is well taken care of and nice . They also have 2 restaurants on site (one for lunch Time - and the dinner one which is upscale). I think Alquimista and Casa Sol are the 2 Best in Zipolite.
