The staff were all very friendly, especially Jasmine. She welcomed us with a smile and great attitude each time we saw her. The events on each night were also very fun, I’d highly recommend to others coming to sayulita.

What an amazing hotel! The staff here is so helpful and very friendly! Jonathan & Abigail were the best! The rooms are beautiful, modern, super clean, kitchen in the room! Refrigerator, coffee maker,toaster, tv, air conditioner and ceiling fan. The terrace has incredible views and a beautiful, very long pool. I will definitely come back to this lovely hotel! I had the perfect stay! No noise at all. Very large modern renovated room, beautiful renovated, modern, clean washroom, safe that locks, terrace with table..chairs..extra day bed..Perfect stay!

It is a very pleasant small hotel and I loved the way all the rooms are built around the swimming pool. You can literally go for a swim from your doorstep which is amazing in the morning after waking up. The staff were amazing, super nice and helpful.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Casa de la Ballena, even with 5 days of rain. The rooms, pool, hot tub and grounds were beautiful. The perfect relaxing environment. The hotel was also in a great location, close enough to easily walk to town but far enough to be quiet in the evening during sleeping time. What made our stay perfect was the on-site hotel manager, Martin. Martin was an outstanding host and helped us with any issues we had, from driving us to town to find an IT store to fix our dead cell phone, helping secure parking for our golf cart rental and arranging airport transportation. He made sure we were happy with all of our time at the Casa de la Ballena. The hotel was a special place with special staff. And, the breakfast is awesome, with many delicious options.

Wow! What an absolutely incredible stay in one of the most beautiful rooms. The view is truly breathtaking! The owners gave us such a warm and welcoming reception, which immediately made us feel at home. The rooms are spacious and offer one of the most stunning ocean views over Sayulita. The beds are extremely comfortable and provided perfect nights of sleep. This place is truly a hidden gem in the most perfect location in Sayulita. I will definitely be coming back! I can wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone in my opinion, it’s the best hotel in the entire area.

Loved the liveliness of the town and how easy it was to get around; the beaches were very nice , love that dogs roam free. The weather is perfect. Two issues emerged—the food was mediocre and, in some situations, not good. Also could be very loud at night, especially on Christmas Eve, new years eve and weekends. If you need quiet to sleep, do not stay anywhere near the center of town

It's a very walkable town, but there are plenty of golf...

It's a very walkable town, but there are plenty of golf carts to rent if you want to move around quicker. Everyone speaks English, so if your Spanish is rusty, it won't matter a bit. The food in every restaurant I went to was good value and great taste, i didn't have a bad meal in sayulita.

We were looking at Punta Mita, but saw only high-end hotels...

We were looking at Punta Mita, but saw only high-end hotels e.g. 4 Seasons are available on the beach. We saw Sayulita and booked there. We visited Punta Mita town and minimal restaurants/shopping. Sayulita is very big and full of shopping/restaurants. I dont' know why it is not mentioned as much as Punta Mita. The other town close by that was full of restaurants and shopping is San Pancho. Within 30 minutes of Sayulita. We found plenty of restaurants, especially Cayman that were excellent. We also went fishing half-day there. Caught 14 fish including 2 Rooster fish and cost around $450. 2 full days here and 1 in San Pancho was good for us. Roads to Sayulita very good and easy access from airport to town.

I stayed a little outside of the main part of town, so the beaches were quieter. Downtown the beaches are super crowded. I had the best Italian food and massage I`ve ever had. L`Ulivo - have the ravioli and Nirvana Spa ask for Carolinia!

No cash in the ATM’s for three weeks .

No cash in the ATM’s for three weeks . Day trippers from PVR could get by but people visiting for a month or so found this very inconvenient . Adding to this problem was the fact that most places to eat accepted cash only .

Sayulita is a surf town with a laid-back atmosphere.

Sayulita is a surf town with a laid-back atmosphere. It has a low-key vibe, lots of local "hole in the wall" places for great food and drinks, funky boho shopping and beautiful, brightly colored "papel picados" swinging freely throughout the streets.

This is THE best hotel in Sayulita. Its a bit outside the center which is perfect to have quiet time and night but its still walking distance from the beach and all the fun. The room are nice, clean and big and have all the equipement that you might need. The best part is the people that run the place : the are the nicest people. Always there to help, super interesting to talk to…just really wonderfull people ! I highly recommand that you go to this hotel! we are actually planning when we are gonna go back ! 💕

Staff were happy and very helpful, check in and out was smooth, pool deck and view were great. Limited parking in Sayulita and they have a small private parking garage. Beach restaurant was great. Location to central area is only a short walk. Codes to front gate and room, you don't have to carry a room key. Overall a very nice hotel!

Great stay, with wonderful staff. Very comfortable room and lovely warm pool with a beautiful view. Enjoyed the Yoga flow class and a wonderful massage ( extra cost). Location is very central for Sayulita, but away from main bar noise... but beware of steep stairs and hill to get home. Kept us fit!

The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. The pool area was a great space to lounge by, loved that it was a salt water pool. The breakfast was really delicious each morning, the coconut oatmeal was amazing. The hotel itself was really quiet and that was a huge plus to the whole experience.

I love this hotel! My room was so spacious and cute! The rooftop is amaaaaazing with the lounge area and the dipping pool. The room had AC and it wasn't noisy being right downtown at all. I slept like a baby. I will definitely be back!
