The room was spacious, especially for one person. Although it was stuffy and warm and the bathroom had a strong smell of chlorine when I first entered, the air conditioning worked very well to cool and ventilate the room. The hotel provided towels, soap, and toilet paper. I also received good recommendations and information about the city and transportation when I asked.

Beautiful discovery arriving at this hotel! The room was very pretty, cozy, well decorated and clean. one of the nicest room we’ve had during our trip. The owners were very sweet and friendly. They offered to drive us to the train station, for a small fee, allowing us to avoid more expensive taxi.

The El Fuerte Hotel is filled with beautiful art and very interesting architecture. It is right below the historical fort which is well worth a visit.
We loved our room and the staff were great.
