Lovely sustainable hotel steeped in authentic mayan history. The owners really care about the environment and the best way to make little impact on the world. The Casa Maya was beautiful with comfortable beds. A unique experience, a short walk or taxi walk to the main sight of Izamal. There is a delicious breakfast available to purchase in the morning, and a tour explaining the rationale of the hotel and its history, and workshops with different activities.

The owners are fantastic. Like to chat. No English but translation app lively used. Beautiful garden with slings for resting. Near city center though extremely peaceful. Second time for us. Would happily come back.
