Wonderful stay at this beautiful and cozy hotel. From the moment we arrived,we were impressed by the peaceful atmosphere and charming design. Amazing place for chill and relax in the middle of jungle. Seriously unbelievable place. The road to the hotel does not reveal the beauty of it, but it’s worth to drive through. Fully recommend.

I spent more than 2 weeks in Mexico with my partner and friends and this was definitely the best accommodation. The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed. I really liked the garden and swimming pool area (very relaxing!). Casa Cactus Buenavista has a great location to explore places like Bacalar, Los Rapidos, Mahahual. Regarding food, the host can prepare it for you if you order in advance (it was so delicious!!!). You can also visit a local restaurant located few minutes on foot from Casa Cactus (there is also an option to have it delivered). Close to Casa Cactus there are also local shops with food, honey, souvenirs. Wifi signal was strong and available everywhere (not only in rooms). Jay and Sebastian are fantastic hosts. They took care of us so well. I felt like at home :) I truly recommend Casa Cactus Buenavista and will definitely go back when I am in Mexico again.

- amazing view (directly at the waterfront, nice garden!) - nicer then the pictures! - everything was really clean - on the Lagoon front property, the accommodation is the only overnight building, so we had the garden and the waterfront mostly for our self's (there is another shared (?) building with a kitchen next to the accommodation, which has no sleeping room and was not in use, when we where there) - the water in the Lagoon was really clear and colorful. - you can use kayaks and SUPs for free We can definitely recommend staying in this accommodation!

The breakfast is amazing! A la carte options for breakfast is something I like. No food waste and very fresh and delicious. Location is perfect, just a short ride into town and remote enough to experience the peace and serenity of the lake.

This place reminded me of a meditation retreat i used to go to called vipassana in California. The beauty of the water is impressive. the staff are kind and friendly. The place has a peaceful vibe to it. I can tell they have paid a lot of attention to small details to make this place look beautiful. It is truly quiet, which is a gem to me where most places are playing loud music.

We have found our personal paradise in this enchanted place by the lagoon. The water is incredible. It actually has several shades from turquoise to dark blue and is crystal clear. Right by the water in the shade under the trees, it is a wonderful place to relax even when the temperatures in Bacalar are hot. The area around the huts is completely unspoiled and far away from the noise of the road. If you're traveling by bus like we were, it's a 20-minute cab ride from Bacalar (there's no Uber). Ernesto and Camilla were excellent hosts. As we had no car Ernesto and family drove us all the way into Bacalar for supplies on more than one occasion... We enjoyed the (covered) outdoor shared kitchen immensely. We had all the necessary kitchen supplies to make lunches and dinners plus it was a great way to meet the other guests staying in the huts next to ours. And lastly there are 2 excellent kayaks to use on the lagoon...

Aqua Viva, Pool, AC, Internet, Beach club features a private beach area, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and garden in Bacalar. With pool views, this accommodation features a balcony.
