Everyone is super nice & friendly, by the end of your stay, you will feel like you're just hanging out with your friends. If you want a true experience on a local island, this is the place to go. Shout out to Nazyh & Husein and to Chef Chamika for keeping our tummies full with delicious potato curry.

Having traveled extensively across the Maldives, I can confidently say that Bageecha Stay is the best guesthouse I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it felt like home, thanks to the incredible hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the host, Ismael, and his exceptional team. Ismael went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my visit was perfect. His attention to detail, deep knowledge of the island, and genuine care for his guests made my stay unforgettable. Whether organizing activities or sharing insights about local life, his passion for hospitality truly shone through. Every meal was a masterpiece, combining fresh local ingredients with remarkable skill and creativity. From mouthwatering Maldivian delicacies to innovative international dishes, each bite was a treat. I can honestly say it was some of the best food I’ve had in the Maldives, and I looked forward to every meal during my stay. The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and local charm. I visited this resort for the first time in 2017 and I liked it so much that I came back again. The quality of services has not changed and the structure of advice is at a high level. The island is gorgeously green with crystal water and gorgeous coral! The villa is cleaned twice a day and everything is clean and perfect. Transportation and check-in at the airport in Male without any problems. The willing employees explained everything. We arrived at 8:00 in the morning and our flight to Dharavandoo was scheduled for 11:30. We arrived at the resort around 1:00 p.m. We were warmly welcomed by Chatherine. We received a welcome drink and a refreshing cold towel with the smell of lemongrass. After completing the formalities, we moved to the villa in the location that I specified in advance :-) All employees are very smiling and hard working. I liked how they think ahead and watch what you have for example for breakfast for a drink and you don't have to worry about it for the next few days. It can be seen that the employees are well motivated. This will also affect the guest's satisfaction. I would definitely like to thank and appreciate the hospitality from Nirmal in the main restaurant. Every day he made us happy with his good mood and great service. We had an all-inclusive package that includes, for example a bar in the room, discounts to the SPA, snacks and food in the bar and even fresh juices.The food in the main restaurant is very tasty. Everyone chooses :-) We also tried Araamu Spa several times. Absolutely luxurious massage. I'm testing massages after all over the world these belong to the top. They have different promotional packages that we liked. For example: buy one and get the other free:-) Halfway through my stay I got a free upgrade to villas with a private pool! Thank you very much, it was really awesome! Last day: Departure was 11:00 in the morning. Our international flight was scheduled at 20:00 from Male.

    This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple.

    This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple. The people are friendly. The beach and the sea is beautiful. There are a few restaurants on the island. We have limited choice on food. We recommend the restaurant called Moonshell as it provides more international food and the price is reasonable. There is another cafe near the pier where we can eat local Maldivian food. The cafe is popular among locals. The island is very close to the Manta point called Hanifaru Bay. We recommend this manta excursion as this is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It is convenient to bring cash and exchange some Maldivian money to spend and pay for the meals.

    A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.

    Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral...

    Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.

    Small local islands for chilling, It has everything you need with step accessibility. There are several guest houses, dive center, bikini beach, jungle side and beautiful coral reef. Highly recommend for short and longer stay.
