Since this was the first time we visited a local island, I texted the guesthouse reservation team and asked a lot of questions. They were very responsive and helpful. The rooms was very clean and nice. We wanted to do excursions at a cheaper price than resorts and they offered us fishing trips at a very good price. We went for fishing everyday with local guides and combined the trip with a picnic to nearby islands. It was an amazing trip with good price for everything.

It's a wonderful place to stay in Kendoo. Great location, quiet&safe, nice garden, few rooms on the first floor and a sea view restaurant for breakfasts on the second floor. Ideal place for snorkling from the beach, also there are many places around to go by boat. I would definetly come back during manta season. Special thanks to Akmal, a guesthouse manager, we met us at the airport, was always ready to help, organized New year dinner on the beach.

This was a 10/10 experience! It's a small inn run by locals and the location is excellent. From arrival to my departure the owners and staff were so kind and helpful. It was like I had personal butlers ready 24/7 to attend all my needs. I can't stress this point enough! The rooms were minimal and clean and The food was good and affordable. I went snorkeling at the islands housereef and the owners arranged pvt excursions to sandbanks and nearby uninhabited islands. This really was the Maldivian vacation of everyone's dreams. We stayed on one of the those water villas with a sunset view. The place was amazing, relaxing, and breath taking all at the same time. There were small sharks and sting rays right in front of our accommodation. We went there mid of April which was towards the end of summer and it rained 2/8 days that we stayed but it was still hot. They had one of these floating breakfast right in front of our room with an amazing view of the Indian Ocean and it is where I did my marriage proposal. The place was clean and the staff were really helpful. Meals were buffet style, no pork or crustaceans as the Maldives is pre dominantly Muslim. At first we were just expecting to chill out and relax in this island but there were activities and excursions as well. Tip: If you are not really into alcohol, Half Board will do you fine. Tip: Make sure your flights in and out of the Maldives matches with your seaplane flight in and out of the smaller islands as seaplanes are not 24hrs. Tip: Bring your own snorkelling equipment, it will save you some money.

This is a brand new hotel that ticks all the boxes! The staff is very friendly and helpful with setting up transfers and arranging excursions. The hotel has a gorgeous roof terrace with a stunning view of the sunset over the ocean. The rooms are very clean, modern, luxurious and built with exclusive materials. There is a restaurant just across the street of the hotel that serves the breakfast and also have lunch and dinner. The island is very quiet with only a few tourists. The bikini beach is located approx. 5 min walk from the hotel. If you want to, you can get a ride from the hotel staff. The hotel supplies sun beds and umbrellas. There is beautiful snorkelling on the house reef just by the beach. During my stay I saw both stingrays, sea turtles and sharks and of course a lot of different and colourful fish and corals. There are some local shops where you can buy some snacks and essentials. Bring cash, preferably MVR, but USD works as well! I really enjoyed my stay and I wish Mohamed and his team all the best with their new and beautiful hotel!

Nihaali was a great experience for me. The guesthouse seems new and the rooms are cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed! They have great food options for all meals. The highlight for me was the deliciously grilled fish the chef served after our fishing trip. I advise everyone to try this at Nihaali. The fishing excursion was fun and we were lucky enough to see dolphins on the way back to the island! The guesthouse also has a games room where you can play billiards and air hockey and board games. This island is a hidden gem in Baa Atoll. You feel like this the authentic Maldives experience. The island has a beautiful big public beach, and a separate bikini beach. I went wake-boarding and loved it. They also have stand-up paddling and kayaks to go paddling around the island.

Located in Finolhus in the Baa Atoll Region, 15 km from Baa Atoll, Kiha beach features an outdoor pool and views of the sea.

A great hotel for the relatively low price. It is located on a beautiful beach with a coral reef for snorkelling. You can see lots of colourful fish, turtles, rays and sharks there. The hotel's own tours are also great, for example snorkelling with the manta rays. You can also get to know the island life of the locals. The hotel staff are very friendly and help with every question. If you can manage without alcohol on holiday, then this is a great choice. You don't notice the airport.
