Though we stayed for only three nights, the warmth, professionalism, and excellence of the team made it truly unforgettable. Location: The journey itself is part of the magic—just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight followed by a short 5-10 minute boat ride that transports you to this paradise. The Island: Small, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, Kandolhu is the epitome of a private island retreat. The Resort: Thoughtfully designed with just 30 villas, the property balances exclusivity and comfort. It offers five outstanding restaurants, a stylish bar, a well-equipped gym, a serene spa, and a sea activities center—ensuring that every guest finds their own perfect way to unwind. Our Villa: We chose an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. With a private pool and direct sea access, it provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity. Staff & Service: The essence of true hospitality is mastered here. The team anticipated our needs before we even realized them, creating a seamless, highly personalized experience. Their warmth and attention to detail set a new benchmark for excellence. Dining: A standing ovation to the executive chef, sous-chefs, and the entire culinary team. The food was fresh, inventive, and packed with flavour. With five distinct restaurants—offering Mexican-Peruvian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Sea Grill, and an all-day dining option—every meal was a delightful journey of taste. Spa: We had the 'couple ritual'. A sanctuary of relaxation, the spa at Kandolhu offers a truly rejuvenating experience. Housekeeping: Impeccable.

Beautiful hotel at the beach on a calm local island. Staff are incredible nice and there is variety of tours available, so there is no chance to get bored. Snorkeling with mantas, turtles, fishing...you can do anything. SUP rental was available too and it was great to paddle around. Akeyz is very attentive and ready to help. There is a roof top restaurant and they also serve delicious coffee. Thank you for beautiful memories :-)

Everything was as advertised. This is a nice bread and breakfast on a nice island, 2 hours with the boat from Male. The beach is like a post card.

AYIRA hotel has everything you can ask for! The room is very nice and modern and the bed is really comfortable. The bathroom is amazing, everything new and working properly. I particularly enjoyed the nice hot showers. The breakfast is delicious and they are very flexible with time in case you need it. But the best thing about the hotel, without a doubt, is the lovely family that runs the hotel. Amjad (the hotel owner) awaits and welcomes you upon arrival. He explains everything about the island (bikini beach, shops, restaurants). He shows you around the island and makes sure you have everything you need or ask for. I cannot be more grateful to Amjad who made my stay in Feridhoo the best experience on a local Maldivian island. He even helped me with my upcoming move to a different island and made sure I was there. Besides that, the people in Feridhoo are very friendly and kind. We definitely felt at home and we recommend AYIRA hotel 100%!

I was impressed that not even 30 years old brothers created this beautiful 6 room little hotel on this local island. We felt well taken care of. Special new years eve dinner party on the beach will be remembered. This night I saw bioluminescence the first time in the sea in the Maldives. Beds super cozy, great to sleep in. Snorkeling equipment available, like sun beds with parasols at the bikini beach free of charge. Transportation was kindly organized by the hotel, and other sea trips. All in all, a beautiful experience.

The whole guest house is great with a perfect central location on an Island. As soon as you step into the house you can start your holidays. Abdul and Ali will take care of you and all your needs. The house is well equiped and very quiet. The beach is a walking distance, and the Feridhoo Island is perfect for a stay far away from the tourist crowd.

We loved every moment in Athuruga! it was an amazing stay! The property is beautiful with white sand, the best lagoon and a very beautiful house reef with easy access from the beach. The food was amazing with 2 restaurants to choose from (buffet and a la carte). This was our 6th time in the Maldives and our favorite. What make it so special were the people that worked in the resort. They were all genuinely nice and worked very hard to make our stay wonderful. Our special thank you to the administration for the free upgrade to the water villas and to Mr. Nizam for going the extra mile to make us even more comfortable. We would like also to thank: - the water sports personnel for the free guided visits to the house reef which was a magical moment; - the water villa restaurant employees, specially Mr. Mohamed for the great service and the Chef of both restaurants for the very tasty food; - the cleaner of the water villa 6 for always taking great care of the room and always being so nice to us. We plan to return again in the future.
